Just an FYI for those that watch ufc. Tonight 8 pm eastern time on spike is ultimate fight night. Free live ufc show.
Ok back on topic. I tried out the assault heroes review and it seemed fun, but nothing I would get estactic about.

I have a question: One of my new wireless controllers makes a loud click soundevertime the left thumbstick is moved all the way to the right. It makes driving games very annoying. Any suggestions or should I just try to return it or something?

I was reading a Game Tips page for Marvel Ultimate Alliance and I noticed that although there's plenty of cheat codes, apparently if you use them you get blocked from achievements. I thought that was pretty cool and I've never heard of that before.

Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about downloading a HD movie but I have already seen or own the ones available. They need some new content. The TV shows might be getting updated but it doesn't look like the movies have been.

This should breath new life into Halo 2. And I wonder if the maps will be in HD since they are specifically for the XBox 360?

Certain Affinity Founded For Halo 2 Maps, X360 Title
Austin-based developer Certain Affinity has announced its formation, revealing that, in a strategic partnership with Bungie Studios and Microsoft Game Studios, its first project is developing multiplayer maps for Halo 2 exclusively for the Xbox 360.
These maps will apparently debut via the Xbox Live service in Spring 2007, and the newly founded company is also creating a new Xbox 360 title to be announced at a later date, and for which no information is currently being released.
Founded by Max Hoberman, an industry veteran and former Halo 2 and Halo 3 multiplayer team lead, Certain Affinity's staff average 12 years in the industry each, and draw on a wealth of experience from such companies as Origin, Digital Anvil, and Bungie. The team includes contributors from games in the Ultima, Wing Commander, Myth, Asheron's Call, Freelancer, and Ghost Recon series, as well as all of the titles in the Halo series.
Interestingly, it's revealed that Hoberman has left his job on the Halo 3 multiplayer modes before the game ship, but the release notes that he "built a team able to carry the project through to completion".
"We're not setting out to change the industry," says Hoberman. "We're creating games by choosing strong leaders, talented and experienced developers, and solid partners. This partnership with Bungie and Microsoft Game Studios is a piece of that puzzle and we hope it's the start of a long and fruitful relationship."

A more accurate question would be, "Will they be more detailed than Xbox maps?" I'm sure they could up the poly count and size on them. Things like newer lighting, bigger/more detailed textures, and new fog or effects might be harder to pull off.

Xbox Live will get vastly fewer releases for the time being, but probably most of the big ones. Me thinks Superman Returns will hit on the 28th.

Has anyone heard if games will be available to rent? Clearly file size is not an issue since HD movies are probably much larger than games. Seems to me that the interface and mechanism is there to make it happen. While the demos are nice, many games just don't warrant more than a rental for me, Condemned and King Kong for example.

They've updated the BC list: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/back...ygameslist.htm for December 2006. Looks like all the same games as reported earlier.
And you can download the Dec 2006 BC update (from a PC, I'm not near my 360 at the moment).
Just a heads up to those interested.
