The survey should have also asked how many people knew the PS3 has a Blu-ray drive. I bet a good portion of them don't even know what Blu-ray is.

Wow, it almost seems like the two comparisons are from four different sources.

After looking at all the comparison pics I really still don't know which people are claiming is better by showing them. When you say "which one looks better now", which one are you claiming is better? To me the differences look negligable at best. The PS3 shots may look slightly better due to the higher res but not nearly enough to justify thier "True HD" statements. Plus, Ridge Racer is/was a launch game for each system so it's really not a good game to use for graphical capability of either one.

I feel your pain. I'm not sweatin' it though. In my eyes, I've waited this long for it so what is another few months. I have convinced myself the the PS3 will really launch in 2007! Not like there are any must have games for it anyway (1 exclusive title?). If you have a xbox 360 just enjoy it. I plan to. In fact my 360 and HD-DVD player should tide me over. Just picked up Marvel UA, NFS Carbon and GOW.

The fact that this thing is having issues w/ backwards compatiblity, makes me even more. That was the one ace in the hole for Sony. Now that doesn't even work.

The only thing that could make this launch any worse is if they have to recall them in a month

Well before the recall i could see some stores just not receiving their shipment for this friday. That would make it worse

Hey guys - I'm not giving anyone shit or anything, but let's try to make sure we keep this thread civil (as it is now). So just a reminder to keep the Sony bashing to a minimum. I really want to seeing as I was a guy who had his pre-order cut but let's keep it clean. The Choo Choo comment is a potential bash - so let's keep that to those HD forum guys.

Five titles, I believe:
Resistance
Untold Legends
Gundam
NBA 07
Genji

Two "semi-exclusives" as Ridge Racer 7 is a remix of Ridge Racer 6, and Fight Night Round 3 has a new first-person-perspective feature.

That said, the titles themselves make me OK with waiting a couple of months.

Deleted my post too. It was all in good fun, but i don't want anyone to take offense to it. But it was the first thing that came to my head and couldn't resist.

Nope, no worries guys - just wanted to put a reminder in to keep things on track BEFORE they had a chance to get off.

Chris
I just had a conversation the other day with a PS2 owner who has probably never read a gaming news site in his life, and he was absolutely shocked that the system was going to cost him twice what his PS2 did. I honestly think he would have found out the price at the store if we hadn't talked.

So apparently it does happen.

I drove by Best Buy tonight around 1 AM and there were probably aorund 9 people laying on the sidewalk with sleeping bags or chairs. Guess I'm not getting one anytime soon.

I saw tents at one circuit city location. I wouldn't be getting one anyway, but this is really out of hand.

What makes it worse is that the employees won't tell people that they're going to get booted anyway, or that they'll only have 4 systems on the launch day, or whatever. They just let them sit there and suffer.

Right now I'm in a pretty small town (population about 20,000) and I was absolutely shocked to see three tents at a Best Buy with like six people out in front. I honestly thought I could have shown up late Thursday evening around midnight (which I was planning to do) and easily have gotten one.

im in line right now at target. it's lit up and has power outlets so it shouldnt be too bad. only problem is im #5 in line and 2 of the guys said they called and they were told 4, the other 2 say they were told 5. o well I guess I will know around 7 or 8 when the store manager comes best buy and circuit city were madhouses with tents going around the corner. if they only get 26, and counted more tents than that so I dunno what the deal is

wow some kid just came by with his (HOTTTTT) mom in their mercedes and when we told him the current situation he started crying and then started punching the big red poles in front of target. he came with a sign that said "PS3 line starts here" and just threw it and they drove off. I actually felt bad for the spoiled brat until he started punching shit/

I'd do that too, especially if I was at a big box store. You need to nip this ridiculous behavior in the bud.

By having more people camping out than necessary at your store?
