yeah that's kind of what I thought. I told Ben to go alittle higher, but he said he'd rather see it go and have a sure profit rather than chance nothing, or way less. Either way, he's estatic about it and is going out tonight to buy himself an HDTV. lol.

Nah, too easy, too dangerous

So at 3:15pm I walked into Best Buy to help my brother with a possible mp3 decision. We went over to see the PS3 and they had just unloaded 4 boxes, two of which were taken up front. We looked at each other and I tried to get him to buy one, mainly because he has a ton of money in his bank account. He said no, and I said well "you suck, i'll do it." I had to be excorted up front by this 4ft tall girl, like she's really going to stop someone from grabbing it and running out. Now it's on ebay, I figured what the heck, if crazy people are going to shell out over 1500 for one then why not make a profit. Today has been a pretty nice day. oh yeah, we forgot about the mp3's.

Well my willpower is just too low. I ended up hooking it up. Put in Talladega Nights to check it out, not too impressed with the transfer. Mpeg-2 with about 16mbs bit rate and dosen't hold a candle to PQ of my A-1 HD-DVD, but that is probably more to do with the transfer. Hopefully I didn't make the wrong decision, but oh well I couldn't help myself.

I waited in line for since Wedsnesday afternoon and scored a PS3 at Target. I walked out of the store and sold it to someone for $1900 cash on the spot. I'm happy, I didn't feeling like going though the hassle of selling it online anyway.

Well I got a call when I got home from work from Gamestop. Apparently someone dropped off the list and I could get my PS3.

I was just getting it to sell, but I had a change of heart. I had a friend that was dying to get one, so I hooked him up with my preorder instead. He was overjoyed. So I made somebody's day. yea. Doesn't help the bank account, but I think I made the right choice.

Gamestop/EBGames just released some 20gb bundles (6 games, extra controller, etc) for $994.XX. I got all the way to the last confirmation page (over about 15 minutes and many timeouts and refreshes) only to have it finally say the item I was requesting was no longer available and had been removed from my cart.

Today System of a Down called my store asking for a PS3. I told them to take a hike.

Is anyone else annoyed that Sony continues to advertise despite there being no more units available, or planned to be available before Christmas?

So, for those who have a PS3 and an Xbox360, are the graphics any better on the PS3?

Talked to a guy at Wal-Mart...seems moderately more informed than the usual employee. He seems to think that no Wal-Mart is getting anymore units before Christmas. Is this really the only release of the PS3 we'll see this year?
