I could get it for about 15 used, but 25 for a sealed copy, like I said, seems to be the non-EB games norm as of now

On the official Dragon Quest site they teased with a poll on what visitors thought would be the next US announced game. I thought it was pretty obvious that it'll be Dragon Quest Monsters Joker. The Monsters spin-offs aren't my favorite.. but I've got an army of DS friends now so I might be able to take advantage of the multi-player aspect this time.

Trozei is a decent puzzle game, but its already sold out.

I would definitely grab Rocket Slime if you don't already have it.

Thanks for the heads up. I am not interested in the other games, so I will have to find some filler to make the shipping free

well, you could always print that out, take it into best buy, and have them price match

Ok my battery arrived. Its really tiny. How do I open the back of the battery? Looks like a littls 2uM screw. I need to use something I can take on the plane with me. What do you suggest?

edit: ok n/m. I found this screwdriver set at Target that doesn't even look like screwdrivers. I think they'll let me bring it on the plane.

Thanks, I've been meaning to pick the Castlevania games. I added Dawn of Sorrow for $19.99 more to get the free shipping.

My friend writes reviews for a web site and gets stuck with a LOT of the crappy kids licensed games. He actually said Full Metal Alchemist was a decent game considering. Nothing ground-breaking, mind you, but that it was playable and enjoyable.. which is not common for these kinds of games.

That's all I needed. That isn't good enough to make me spend $17 on it.

Anyone know of a good $5 game or $5 dvd filler for the PoR deal at Amazon?

Doesn't look like it would appeal to me, but would my gifted game playing 5 year old enjoy it?

I turned on my DS for the first time in about a month yesterday. Played AC for about 10 minutes, got bored, and shut it off.

On the plus side, I ordered CastelvaniaOS last night from Amazon ($20!). I dunno about the rest of you, but I'm finding I like the platformers on the DS a lot more than anything else, especially the "let's see how we can make the controls awful for this classic game by forcing them to use the stylus" type games like Starfox.

I agree. Most of my favorite DS games either don't use the touch screen at all or use it very sparingly (New SMB, the castlevanias, Mario Kart, Princess Peach etc.).

There are a few I really like that make very good use of the touch screen like Meteos, Brain Age and Kirby Canvas Curse, but those are well done and designed to use the touch controls in ways that work well. Not just taking them on to games like Mario 64, Star Fox, Mario Hoops etc. That just doesn't work and isn't fun IMO.

IDK, maybe I just don't like new control schemes. I'm having a similar reaction with the Wii and not really liking games that rely on the motion control for everything and prefering stuff like Zelda where it just uses the motion controls in more subtle and intuitive ways rather than just totally replacing traditional controls.

I've played nothing but Hotel Dusk for the past month. The cartridge hasn't left the DS. I beat it last night and threw in a different game this morning before I headed out. I turned it on and I immediately turned it vertical despite the game being horizontal. Good ol pavlov.

QFT.

I'm almost wishing they start making games that use the GC controller again...

I wouldn't go that far as I love controls in Zelda, and I can't wait to see some good motion control games that are unique and couldn't be done any other way.

I'm just not interested in stuff like Sonic and SSX where they're just applying motion control onto existing games/franchises simply in substitute for traditional controls.
