There's also been alot of talk of Horde exploiting in AV lately, at least in the games that I've been in. Something about capping from long distances. Anyone know more?
The interaction "gear" that shows up when you mouse over things - well people were able to interact with things far away, thus capping flags from a distance.

well, after about 3 hours last night and today in WSG and AB, I think I know less about battlegrounds than before I went in. Spent lots of time dying, having my spells resisted and silenced, and really just confused.

But I have 7 WSG marks and 11 AB marks. Only 19 AB, 23 WSG and 30 AV to get a horsey!

Woooo! Updating my installed BC as we speak. One nice thing about being 17 hours ahead (though I've heard that I might not be able to play until 6 PM). Be prepared to have it reinstall the last big patch (don't worry about having to d/l it again) and several new ones.

As for BG -- I think I'll just aim for the high tier PvP armor set over trying to get everything through raiding. It seems a lot easier, even if they're not quite as good. Screw Soulforge/Lightforge for Pally though -- that chain has cost me way too much money.

Fry's down here in Fountain Valley has a nice healthy line wrapping around to the back of the store for the midnight launch/developer signing. Seems to be shorter then the initial launch, but then again there are several developer signings and tons of other midnight launches.

There were plenty of people waiting a day in advance though. Stopped to chat with a few of them, and they were out there since 5 AM this morning. TV cameras were there too.

My computer is messed up, otherwise I would have got Burning Crusade. I'm definitely going through WOW withdrawal. I was just about gone and that stupid South Park episode got me into WOW again. Damn you South Park!

Picked up my copy of the expansion at EB Games at midnight and say the most wretched hive of scum and villany there.. Somehow made it out of there with 2 copies. Now to install and patch and watch the servers bounce up and down for the next week or two..

Just got back from Game Stop. I'd say there were a couple hundred people in line easy.

We have 4 EBs/Gamestops within 1 mile of each other. Two are in a mall, and one is in a Wal-Mart shopping center. The fourth one, which I wasn't even aware existed until tonight, is in a shopping center right next to the mall. I showed up at that one at around 10:45, and I was the only one there.

They said they had 6 extra copies of the regular edition; they'd only received two copies of the CE, and both were already spoken for. I went ahead and purchased one of the regular copies (even though I had to wait until midnight to get it).

Over the next hour, the store filled up, and they ended up selling all their copies. This was the out of the way store... I'm not sure what happened at the less remote ones.

The game itself is great... I'm very surprised that the servers were up and stable. It was a nice shock. I'm not a big fan of the blood elfs so far, but the Dranei are pleasant surprises; that's the complete reverse of how I expected it to be. I haven't hit Outland yet, though.

If I can find a copy, I'll probably pick this up today and reactivate my account.

Servers were all up and the installation went really smoothly. I gotta admit Blizzard really has their act together (and one of my best friends works there.. so i'm a little biased). I had the expansion installed and we were playing our new blood-elves in about 20 minutes. Tonight I expect I'll be trying to kill the same bat at 6000 other new blood-elves but what can ya do..

Servers are getting hammered.

Also, hard getting used to putting green stuff on and going "that's awsome!".

It is strange to realize a green is better than that blue you treasured. I had a person ask me to join them on Strat-Live today. I politely told them the dungeon has no gear i am interested in getting anymore. If it had been a guild member I would have thought about going anyway.

I wonder if for a short time this is going to create issues in all guilds as people 60+ want to lvl and not help others get gear.

It's crazy. I've already replaced three of my blue items (Crossbow, Offhand dagger, Chest) with green items earned via entry level quests. I got a chestpiece with +30 stamina, +19 agility, and +36 attack power (plus 2 gold) for simply collecting 8 pieces of metal and 8 pieces of wood.

Took the plunge and bought the expansion pack yesterday. Reactivated my account after a year and a half of dormancy. Kudos to Blizzard for getting the inventory out there. I remember when the game launched two years ago, they underestimated the demand, and it was nearly impossible to find. But with the expansion pack, there were lots on the shelves at my Best Buy, who were running around restocking the displays.

My former server, a sleepy medium pop when I left, now has a queue! So I rolled a new character on a new server and became a newbie once more. I think there'll be a bit of a learning curve for me. I've noticed that a lot of things that you used to have to get a mod for are now part of the standard interface.

Yeah, I got some green boots with 40 Armor more than my previous boots and +62 to attack power off a random mob as well as a kickass neckless as a quest reward. It's crazy getting good gear off quests again - it's been so long!

No doubt that person is logging into the forums as we speak to complain that there's "nothing to do".

Groucho, if you want to make a new alliance character, make it on the Draenor realm. except we do currently have a queue.

I replaced 4 or 5 of my epics already with blue items from the ramparts/blood furnace. the socketed items are awesome. its great to be able to buy a couple gems from the inn for 2 gold each and suddenly have an extra 8 hit rating. I know there are way better gems but even the cheap ones really help you tailor your item to you build.
Ive run the ramparts and blood furnace each twice and have year to have anyone die on a boss fight. the only wipes have been from getting an unexpected patrol while fighting trash mobs. I hit 61 and it was cool to have a new talent point to spend. My guild is supposed to do our final MC run tonight. we want to clear it in one night just because we havent before. Its crazy how a green dagger that drops off a boar in outlands is almost the same as a epic dagger from MC.

Yeah, the BC is awesome. I too was impressed at how well the rollout went. Grats, Blizzard. Having a blast doing quests and 5-mans again. The Blood Furnace is wicked cool! Looking forward to running the Slave Pens and dinging 62 tonight. Haven't replaced any of my epics yet, but I have a new trinket and a new blue cloak.

Crazy how much gold you get now. I started in Outland on Monday night (Tuesday 1 AM, I guess) with 10g, and now I have about 165g! Just from questing and doing 5-mans. I'm not hurrying to 70, though. Taking my time, seeing the sights, and doing all the quests in my logs.

Even though I don't play WOW anymore i was going to pick up the CE of the expansion just in case i ever do start playing again since i have the CE for the original release. But i didn't realize it would be impossible to get if you didnt pre-order it, i checked BB,CC and Target on Tuesday an hour after they opened and none of them had any.
