ZOMG Zombies!

the plague is awesome. except for the time i went afk in Shatrath and came back to the computer and found myself dead.

i'm at 49/50 pets now. i just need one more. i was camping Lil Timmy to try and get the white kitten but its driving me crazy. i think i'll renew my engineering membership a bunch to try and get a pet schematic instead.

I really dislike the event since it allows players to have fun by turning quest givers. making banking and the Ah unusable. I think it has been a horrible event so far imo.

I am ok with a zombie invasion heck even you get turned then "die" and your shell is now attacking without your control but allowing players to have fun by making the game unplayable for others sucks.

I heard it has been impossible for new players to level since level 70 zombie players have been hanging out it the starting zones.

What really sucks is the nearly constant rolling restarts...

Agreed. A friend and I just returned to the game last week to level up Human Rogues using the recruit a friend deal and it's been a bitch with this plague event. I'm almost considering cancelling again and then returning when it's over but we were hoping to get to 70 before WotLK. Looks like I may have to re-activate my old account.

The zombie event ends today.

While there were some issues with the zombie invasion (Shattrath in particular), I actually thought it was a cool idea, and pretty fun. Sure I play a priest, so I wasn't as affected by it, but I found that whenever I ported back to Orgrimmar I needed to do my part to cleanse the city of the zombie menace. It may have only lasted for a few minutes after I left, but I still felt like I made a difference.

There probably should have been extra Argent healers to protect the new players in the starting zones though. Enough to keep any zombies out of there altogether.

I liked the plague event. I didn't play any of my lowbies during the event, but I thought it was really cool that Blizzard actually did something that really changed the face of the game for a few days.

And if anyone didn't know, the necropoli from the first Scourge Invasion (original Naxx) are back. I found one out in the Burning Steppes last night that wasn't being touched. Myself (ret paladin) and a holy pally farmed it for about half an hour and got 86 necrotic runes a piece. You can buy some nice stuff with them now at the Argent Dawn quartermaster in Light's Hope Chapel. I think they're only going to be around for a few more days.

Silly mod question: With all the new patches, SellValue finally stopped working and it hasn't been updated in a long time. Does anyone know of a mod that simply displays the "sell to merchant" value for items in inventory?

i used to use the ace2 mod called "itemsync" for this, but i dont see it on curse.com so maybe it hasnt been updated in a while.

I had been using Sellvalue for quite a while also, I found ItemPriceTooltip to replace it, although even it needs to be loaded as out of date but it works.

The latest one I could find was ItemPriceTooltip-r79695.2.zip

There's a rumor that walmart is selling the xpack now.. I wouldn't input the key though as the servers aren't up. May make your game unplayable until next week.

so yeah, blizzard has actually put the download client on their servers already for people who want to download it, and have it installed/patched before getting it home at midnight. You would just log into account admin and upgrade the account.

They havn't posted anything about it yet, but it works.. at least it did earlier, my game is updated, just obviously not set up with the key yet.

yup, got the downloader up, but can't connect to the servers to pull the info. I figure that is related to the issues that they are having tonight.
