Wait no Duck Hunt in Wii Sports? I don't mind the white console, but I at least want Duck Hunt for my $250. The bad thing about Wii Sports is its really made for at least two people to play. That means a $50 controller purchase is a must.
I just don't know yet if I really want to drop $300 on this. Depends on the games and I'm not sure how many of the launch titles are going to be worth getting.

First party games will be $50. NES games on the Virtual Console will be $5, SNES games for $8, and N64 games for $10. Seems to line up with the previously announced Japanese prices.

I'm still not sure how on board I'll be with VC as I have a very NICE NES/SNES collection.

This may have been mentioned already, but go to Wii.com and click Japan up at the top. You can see demo movies of what the "Wii Channels" interfaces look like. The charicature maker looks pretty amusing.

From Gamespot's coverage:
"Will the system have its own internal memory for photos and such? Kaplan says it will have some capacity for internal memory, but "most" of the storage will indeed be through SD card.
Of the 30 games promised by year's end, Kaplan says about half of those will be available at launch. Sounds like Zelda, Excite Truck, and Wii Sports are the only first-party ones, though. "
I thought Metroid Prime 3 had been previously announced as a launch title? I guess it was moved back a bit.
Edit: Ah, bugger. According to Go Nintendo: "Metroid Prime 3 is a 2007 title"

Some good news via GameSpot: "All first-party games and most (if not all) other Wii content will be capable of the 16:9 aspect ratio used by HDTVs, but will not be in high definition."
