Controller Action:
# Revolution controller looks like futuristic television remote.
# Glossy white design.
# Looks Apple iPod inspired.
# Controller is held in one hand. Attachments in the other.
# Attachments connect to the bottom of the controller. Iwata shows analog stick attachment.
# Thinking about packing Revolution with the main controller and attachment, Iwata says.
# Controller acts like a mouse in real-space 3D. Pefect for FPS games!
# Future attachments planned.

Two more days until the big yummy.. but this makes me a little hot too:

"From the most reliable of sources (message boards!) come rumors that Nintendo is seeking 150 temp workers to begin boxing Wii units readying them for shipment as early as next Tuesday. This comes from reports that several work agencies have been requesting positions for Nintendo's North Bend office that packages and ships product."

I don't want to get my hopes up too high but with all that's been said lately about the manufacturing process Mid October looks like it may be a serious possibility. I can't wait to pick one up. I just hope to hear some awesome news about the price and the contents of the box.

My enthusiasm has grown more and more with each passing day for this game console. I honestly thought this was going to be kid-geared and not worthy of my money, but the more I hear about it, the more excited I get about it. I have my PS3 already reserved, but Sony seems determined to diminish my excitement for thier product. Nintendo has only wetted my appitite with each new conference, and I now plan on picking up one of these when they come out. With it's virtual console, I can see me playing this more then any other system for a while.

Concerning Virtual Console: I pray to every and any higher entity out there that the games will be played in their ORIGINAL RESOLUTIONS or at least not have some stupid filtering applied to the graphics. Every time I boot up that Capcom Classics disc for the PS2 the disgusting damned blurry graphics make me want to punch my TV and just go play the games in MAME.

Looking at the games list, I noticed Kid Icarus, Mario Kart & Donkey Kong. When were those announced? Or are those part of the rumor mill?
Bust-a-Move: Revolution can be added to the list.

Some VC games I'd like to see:
Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 (NES, SNES, N64) - Obviously.
Zelda: A Link to the Past and The Ocarina of Time (SNES, N64) - The two best Zelda games IMO, and two of the best games of all time.
Goldeneye 007 (N64) - Probably not a chance we'll see this, but I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Rouge Squadrons (N64, GC) - Great games, hopefully Lucasarts will allow their games on VC.
Mario Kart 64, maybe Super Mario Kart (N64, SNES) - Great multiplayer games for everyone, fits right in with Wii.
Super Metroid (SNES) - A classic.
Chrono Trigger (SNES) - Probably the best SNES RPG.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES/Sega) - A cult classic
Mortal Kombat (SNES) - Either the original or the sequels, these were great.
Starfox 64 (N64) - Better than the original IMHO
Aerobiz (SNES) - Another cult classic game.
Punch Out (NES) - Great call whoever it was that said this earlier.
Contra (NES) - A classic, probably won't make it.
Tetris (Every) - How can you not have Tetris?
TMNT (NES) - The classic Ninja Turtles game, again probably won't be on there.
TMNT IV: Turtles In Time (SNES) - One of the best co-op games of its time.
Maybe some more later.

Konami still has publishing rights to the TMNT so it's quite possible.
The original arcade game and Turtles in Time were extras on the new TMNT beat-em-ups they've made.

Here's a post from Joystiq on the 09/14 event.. it might give a clue on when we can get details.
There's no way for all three events to be simultaneous. It is impossible for Japan to be in the 14th at the same instant as the UK is in the 15th, as Japan is more eastward toward the International Dateline. This means Japan experiences days before the UK and US, albeit only a few hours previously.
The Japan and NYC events could be simultaneous, however, if the NYC one is early in the morning and the Japan one is late at night (8am NYC is 10pm Tokyo).

I'd love to see some of Nintendo's original arcade classics make it to the VC (Donkey Kong, DK Jr, DK3, Mario Bros., Popeye). Seems like Midway, Atari and Namco classics have been re-released dozens of times now and Nintendo's arcade classics barely ever show up aside from the occasional portable appearance.

I really didn't/don't care at all about the XBOX or PS3 releases, but this one has me all a-twitter. I don't care about my credit card bill right now...I want a Wii!
(and this is from a guy who hasn't played videogames since Goldeneye, Ocarina of Time, and Perfect Dark)

I can't wait to hear the release date. I've got one pre-ordered, and I really want to play it. I hope that Super Mario RPG is available for download, because I was too young to fully appreciate that game when it first came out. I saw a guy playing it at school (college) today, on his laptop.
