I'm still hanging on to hope for a $200 price, but I'll bite at $250. I think with the current Xbox 360 price and the exorbitant pricing of the PS3, Nintendo probably has a bit of breathing room on this one. I do hope that if they do a $250 price that there's a bit of pack-in bonus (A second controller? Wii Sports?).

199.99 max, I cant stress enough now important that is from day one. They need stronger 3rd party titles and to do that they need come out of the gate hard and use every trick possible to get the biggest install base they can pronto. I love to see them stir the apple cart up and make people question where next main DQ or so could go besides just being sony given, there is opportunity here due to some of sony's recent blunders.

Web technology 'will increasingly be a part of the gaming experience'
The executive vice president of Opera for Devices, Scott Hedrick, has revealed that Nintendo Wii owners will be using the console's unique remote controller to surf the web.
In an interview with IGN, Hedrick said: "The remote control is an extremely advanced tool. Opera plans to use this to its full advantage and it will provide an intuitive way to surf the Web."
"Imagine the possibilities in terms of surfing with a motion sensitive remote control."
Hedrick declined to give details of how the control system will work, stating only: "I cannot specifically comment on the lack of keyboard, but many devices running Opera don't have keyboards, such as the Nintendo DS, and feature on-screen keyboards to solve this problem."
He went on to say that Opera won't be sold separately from the Wii - but stopped short of confirming whether or not it'll come with the console as standard. However, it's clear that Hedrick believes online gaming will play a key part in the success of Nintendo's new console: "As Nintendo touts Wii as always connected it is natural that a browser should be a part of their strategy, as a gateway to the Web."
"I believe that Web technology will increasingly be a part of the gaming experience, whether it's live content being pushed onto games or you're just checking your Web mail while playing Mario Kart."
"We're seeing access to the Web in more and more places and in more and more ways, it was simply a matter of time before it spread to game consoles."

Reggie is the new President of America, which means the future is looking brighter and brighter for Wii.. We know Reggie identifies more with the hardcore (older/bloodthirsty) gamer than any Nintendo spokesman before. Now his ideas will have the chance of being realized further... It's a good move for Nintendo in my opinion. Everything is looking up right now, I must say.

Eh, I'm still holding out hope for $200, especially since they said something similar about the DS and it came out cheaper than people thought.

Here's more WII news from the-magicbox.com

- Famitsu reported that Nintendo's senior management director Yoshihiro Mori has confirmed the price of Wii, the console will cost 25000 yen (US$222) in Japan. The price is about 1/3 of PS3 and less than half of Xbox 360.
W i i
- Japanese retailers have begin to accept reservation of the Nintendo Wii console, while an official price hasn't been announced, some Japanese retailers are expecting the price of Wii to be 18,000 yen (US$160).
==========================================
$199.99 is the right price for WII and hope it includes: Wiimote + nunchuck, Wii classic control, free any 5 games for virtua downlooad. Possible i'll come with extra wii mote & Zelda game for $250

$160 is too weird of a pricepoint. That would probably relate to a $150 price for the US and that is just too low. I'm sticking with $250 for my expectation and will be more than happy with $150 if that turns out to be true somehow.
