Sure, if the game is awesome, people are going to play it just like we do in COD it's just the fact that it FREAKING SUCKS. All the time we are saying we can't wait for COD3 because it supports more then 8. The group we usually have playing COD is usually 8-12 so for those 4 people that don't get on at 8:00 PM on COD night they get screwed.

All I'm saying is that it sucks. For a next gen game that has been months in the making it should support more then 8 people.

Actually the 8 player limit has been what has kept me many nights from putting in the CoD2 disc instead of the Halo disc. I'm far more interested in larger games.

perhaps thats something they can tweak in the later stages of the game though. COD made lots of changes after release when it was practically unplayable in multiplayer.

Developer walkthrough of John Woo's Stranglehold

This is the first actual gameplay footage of the game I have seen. It definitely looks like next-gen Max Payne, but John Woo movies were the inspiration for Max Payne in the first place. I love the end of the demo where it does a flyby of the restaurant and you can see all the destruction you did.

I'm actually happy about there being no DM in Gears. I think it's a change which will take some time to get used to, but will ultimately lead to more fun. Of course, this is all IMO. I'd much rather play co-op in GRAW than the DM/CTF stuff... and doing something similar in Gears looks to be right up my alley. Hopefully this can spur other changes in the online arena so to speak...to entice guys like me who get board fragging others very quickly.

Well I think it's cool to add new types of games but to leave DM/TDM out all together blows.

While I think the whole "bullet time" thing is spent I love how in the one part when he's blasting away w/ the shotty the pieces of that cement pillar are going everywhere! COOL!

Yeah, I loved the footage and will probably be getting this game. I was wondering where the "signature doves" where until I saw the Tequila Bomb

Put it this way...all that time you bitches spend trying to get me to play COD2 would be much better applied to getting me to play some co-op in something else

Actually, the lack of DM in GOW has me more excited for the game, not less. These are the guys who make Unreal Tournament, so clearly they know how to make a good DM, but they're going out of their way to make multiplayer modes that aren't just the same old thing. Between that and the ability to play the entire single player mode co-op online, I think I'll be doing more online play with GOW than I've done all of this past year.

Totally agree. Just wish there was more of it.

I didnt' know you can do the whole game of GoW in Live co-op. That sounds pretty sweet.

Splinter Cell multiplayer demo is available to download. I played as a merc against some spies. I don't know why, but the online aspect of this series has never really been my cup of tea. Can't wait to play the single player game, tho'.

Lumines Live! is definitely a strong possibility for Arcade Wednesday. The achievements were emailed to the main sites a couple days ago and Major alluded to a popular game being released this week. It's either that or Contra.

Anyone have some guesses on improvements we will see when Live comes back up? Last time they did one of these, we got Xbox Live Messaging through Xbox.com. I wouldn't be suprised to see the first level of Live Anywhere integrated since Vista is reaching its finality.

-Browswer support. I know they keep denying it but with the Wii & PS3 both offering browsers you know MS will put one out there. Especially since they already make their own friggin browser.

- Game Title in the dashboard letting you know what is in the drive
- give me a damn QWERTY keyboard for messaging!
- this is supposed to have the big 1080p update, right?

Good picks, but I thought you could use any old USB keyboard already.

Don't count on the browser. As Major Nelson said this week, think WebTV. Browsing on the TV sucks. Without a keyboard and mouse its a total waste of time. Just go to your PC.

I would pick up a wireless keyboard and mouse if they offered a browswer.

Hell they could even cross promote it and slap "Compatible with Xbox 360" on their own mouse/keyboard combos and sucker people into buying the MS brand vs. logitech(or other).

A USB keyboard will already work on a 360
