I've read on different web sites that the launch window was anywhere from nov 2005 - march 2006. I didn't agree with that, but wasn't sure if you were just meaning games that were available on Nov 22, 05 or using the expanded launch window.

Now to figure out which other one I have wrong.

I love the idea of the ghosting effect that Flay talks about, with the video image being played in the dashboard background. However, does it still do this if you have a custom wallpaper on your dashboard background?

I'll check tonight and post back. I know it works for any theme you want to use, but I haven't checked custom wallpaper yet.

You can see the ghosting effect in the second picture in my review, but it's much cooler as video. It kind of looks like a watery, rippling reflection of whatever's being displayed on camera.

The Just Cause demo features an island one twentieth the size of the finished game, but do not fret, there is plenty to do. Woot! That's good to hear. After reading the preview in OXM, I'm really curious to see how well they pulled this one off. It sounded very promising, so I'm hoping that it actually plays well. Of course, since I'm on the East Coast I have a decision to make - stay home tomorrow morning to try out the demo and get to work a little late, or put it off until I get home...hmm...

I'm going to remain hopefully optimistic about the quality of Just Cause, but I'm more than a little skeptical that the game will be as good as it looks.
