2 annoying things. I hate when people disconnect just before the after-match stats after I win so that they don't get the loss (and I don't get the win). And I hate how you can change your character before the match starts if you've already chosen one.

I had this happen to me once. It was even an E Honda palm spamming wanker who i beat. I left him the avoidance feedback with the comment drops from games.

I'm playing Blitz now, and they're all really close matches.

When i play ranked, i dont get to play with all those different characters since theres so many cheap bastards who will do whatever it takes to win, so i stick to ryu/guile for those. And 0 lag too! Awesome. We need a DVDTalk quarter game! Jessecrx, im talkin to you baby lol.

That is why i want to play some unranked games. In ranked i just keep playing Blanka merely because with him i can beat some of the spamming one move guys. I really want to pick up Vega again - he was my favorite.

I dont get whats 'High Definition" about this game. Just the fact that its connected via component? It looks very low res and blocky. Its not widescreen either unless you stretch it and all the players look fat. Im guessing all the hype is just nostalgia?

Well i would say nostalgia and the fact that it is a relatively solid fighting game that has proven its chops over the years. While i will bitch about the E Honda sliding slap and some general cheesiness there are ways to counter all of it.

Compared to it's arcade counterpart the game does look smoother and the colors are much brighter. To the avg joe yes it does look low res because it is. The games was never created with high res sprites to begin with. If you want that then look into Guilty Gear.

And again, the game was never originally made to be played on 16:9 sets. The programmers were simply nice enough to give you the option to stretch the screen as you see fit so tv owners wouldn't complain but I guess you can never make everyone happy. It's like asking "why isn't Galaga widescreen and high res?" ENJOY THE OAR for cryin' outloud!

That is what I was hoping for. I obviously didn't pay close enough attention to the specs about the game. oh, well. I might play the demo now and again, but it isn't what I was looking for, although it does make me want a new SF game for the 360!!

I loved playing this game as a kid, whether it was on my SNES (I remember renting it, but I never owned it,) or at my Uncle's store, where he had the arcade machine. I've never been good at fighting games, but I was relatively decent at this. However, I'm not nearly as good as I used to be, or this game is just incredibly hard. I'm not going to bitch though - I'll just have to practise and see if that helps. I've been playing on LIVE a lot and I've done pretty well.

While playing on LIVE, I've only noticed lag in a couple of games. I've never had much of a problem with my connection, so I'm pretty sure it was my opponents' connections in each match. I played them both, just to be a good sport, but it wasn't too much fun. The people I've been playing against have been pretty nice, but I haven't checked my feedback rating. I hope that I still have 100% positive feedback, because I haven't done anything negative to anyone and I don't cheat.

Actually, I was fighting a guy earlier today (although I forget his gamertag, it was something along the lines of Agent 47.) It was a relatively even match, but I won it in the third round. I didn't fight cheap, and I always jump around, so I didn't keep him in the corner while I was pummeling him or anything. I also don't really know any special moves for any of the characters, so I certainly wasn't abusing them. However, he ended up telling me, at the end of the fight/once I had won, that I "fucking suck." I gave him a bad rating and actually filed a complaint because it pissed me off. I've only given one or two people a bad rating that I've played with on this game - as long as they don't harass me or anything, I usually give them a good rating. That is, unless they're cheap, and then I just don't give them a rating at all.
