I play with the Wiimote/Nunchuck. I love it and now I can't play with the GC controller anymore!

To me the easiest way to play is with the GC Wavebird.

The official site updated with another screenshot collection. Both the U.S. and Japanese sites feature different screenshots:

OK, that maze at the end was a giant pain in my ass!
|
i picked this up and have only played it a few times with just the wiimote...seems boring as hell. WOuld the strategy guide help to understand whats going on here. i never played the GC version
|
Well, maybe the guide could help you out. To sum it up, it is a fairly in-depth fighting game with A TON of extra stuff. It's also a blast online.

You can also unlock the characters by playing the SSE.
|
I'm sort of in the middle--I don't think it's "boring" but to me so far it feels like a button masher. I get that each character has different interpretations of "up attack" and "down attack" etc, and that's cool; I like that I don't have to memorize Up Half circle X O X to do a fireball for one character, and Full circle Down L L R for Spike from another character. I'm playing the Subspace Expedition or whatever it is, and I do like how many of the characters handle differently and have different advantages/disadvantages--but something with the core gameplay just isn't clicking with me. I can also appreciate that it's got a lot of depth, but if the core gameplay isn't fun for me, the depth is irrelevant. Does anyone have any tips on changing my perspective?

button masher is right. I may just retire this one early.
|
I personally can't stop playing the game. I get my butt whooped by better players but I'm learning better techniques slowly but surely.
|
I was really enjoying SSBB until I just got Mario Kart, now that's my new obsession (at least for now). Although it was a lot easier to unlock stuff in SSBB than it is in Mario Kart.
Curse you stupid Rainbow Road track! |
Just got this for $26.99 shipped from Amazon Lightning. I've played a bit of 2 player brawl with my roommate. It seemed like a button masher, but then I looked at the instructions, and it sounds like the controls won't be that bad (that you would have to mash the buttons).
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting into the SSE portion. |
Cool to hear C-Mart! Here is my Brawl code if you want to battle online:
4768-7125-4200 :D |
I'll probably get my ass handed to me as most people have 4 months or so on me... but I would give it a shot at least. I'll post my code as soon as I figure out what it is.
|
To find your Brawl code connect to wifi, click on 'with friends', then click on 'friends roster'. You will see your code up top.
|
Do both players need the code or will it work if just one person has it? I know there was at least one game that worked using invites also.
|
Both players need codes.
