That would be interesting, (charging stations) but the controller's expansion port, would have to be able to handle the electrical power. I am not sure that they are currently wired to do that.

That's what I was thinking, kind of like how most mp3 players like the iPod are charged through the USB cable, I think you could just put a cable in the expansion port on the controller and plug it into the console, speculating of course.

According to IGN they aren't. They are currently designed for batteries but nothing is final and they are considering something like the above.

I had envisioned a Wavebird Deluxe that had rumble and a lithium-ion battery that would be charged with the same cable as the GBA SP and DS. I'd like to think that if the controllers were rechargeable they'd just use the existing cable.

I don't really care one way or the other. I kind of prefer just regular batteries as I have plenty of Nihms and can remain wireless all the time as I can just pause and switch, instead of having to plug in and let it charge, or stop playing and put it in a dock.

I agree Josh, I bought many rechargables this gen(wavebird & Logitech Xbox) so I am prepared either way. Even got one of those spiffy ones that charge in 15 minutes. :)

Now that would be cool. I have 3 of those cables for my 2 SPs and my DS.

Seems like baseless speculation. The guy being interviewed just said it had to be affordable for non gamers. That doesn't equate to it being $99.

I think it will probably be $199.99 like the GC at launch, which will put it $200 below the full 360 and probably the same amount below the PS3.

It will be the first console that I have bought at launch in 3 generations. (I bought the PS2 and sold it on eBay for $650, doesnt count).

It'll be the first console I buy at launch since the SNES. Though that was a Christmas present.. so technically it'll be the first console I've ever bought at launch. Of course, I can't say for SURE I'm going to get it on launch, but Metroid Prime 3 being a launch title pretty much secures that, heh.

I bought the Dreamcast and Gamecube at launch, also the GBA and DS.

I'll get the Revolution if it's $199 or less, probably will wait otherwise unless there's some absolute must have games at launch.

I'm betting earlier, this is just to cover possible delays. That seems way to late, especially since they already revealed their hand when they showed the controller.

I was always expecting it (and the PS3) to probably come out in Fall 2006. Possibly spring/summer 2006, but I think around the holidays is more likely.

If the 360 does well, then Sony may be forced to launch earlier in 2006, which would probably force Nintendo to as well as they've said repeatedly they will launch around the same time as Sony.

Has anyone heard any details on the thingies that you have to attach to the side of your television for this to work? My tv is pretty much flush with my entertainment system, so unless those things are paperthin, I might not be able to get the revolution. :(

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere there were 2 things you have to attach to the side of the TV that are needed for the gyroscopic sensors.
