Yeah, here's hoping the 360 version is a bit better.....how do people like the new swing system anyways?

I'll be picking it up this week....supposedly releases today or tomorrow for 360!

it always worries me when there isn't a single review out there for a game that streets that week. You would think that the final release would have been in the hands of reviewers earlier, unless there are problems and didn't want reviews out. hmmmmm

I know IGN simmed an entire season and posted stats and who won the World Series....interesting read I suppose.

while Boston's 120 wins seemed WAY far fetched, some of the other numbers seemed closer to being realistic.

So, who is getting the 360 version this week?

I'm going to check out Best Buy tonight to see if they got it in. I've got gift certs and reward zone, so if it sucks only cost me $5 and change.

I preorded it a while ago and it should be delivered today. Hopefully it doesn't suck.

i'll still pick it up. I was looking forward to playing in an online league (hopefully with a draft). Perhaps once this is out, someone can head up a DVDtalk league.

I'm hoping to get from Best Buy also....I have RZ & GC, will cost me nothing.

However, the website says tomorrow for them...so, we'll see.

If this turns out to be as buggy and crappy as the Xbox version, I'm going to be sick. The only other option is MLB '06, but I haven't played my PS2 in a loooong time. I would much rather play a baseball game on the 360 in all its HD glory, but I may have to go the PS2 route just to avoid a supposed crappy game.

ill be more than happy to head up a league for us. but i won't get the game maybe until next week depending on trade in stuff. i guess that will give everyone time to practice and get used to the game though.

I got a call for my preorder at my Gamestop in the mall, I thought today was the street date.

It should be considering that most sites showed yesterday as the ship date.

Yep, Best Buy shows 4/12/06, but people are reporting they got it there today...I will check today....I hope mine has it.

I was at Best Buy at lunch and they had a bunch of copies. Even the drone mentioned it to me as I was in the 360 section.
Not a single review + $20/30 premium over the current gen = no sale.

lol on the message boards everyone's saying they cant get past 2-3 innings online without a complete lockup. I really wanted to get this game too, but i dont think i can pull the $60 trigger now. Screw exclusive licenses.

I've been checking out some of the various vg forums and it seems that overall most people seem pleased with it. The only board that has alot of people bashing it is gamefaqs.............HUGE Suprise!

while there are positive posts too, the negative ones really worry me.

if i have to reformat my HDD, then it wont even be worth a gamefly rental to me, as im not erasing all my stuff. Maybe it's just me, but $60 for such a buggy piece of software is unacceptable

The freezing seems to be an issue, but they're weren't too many threads mentioning it earlier when I was on there. I'll have to see for myself when I pop it in after I get home from work.
People said the same think about NHL 2K6 freezing and I never had a problem. Either way, I don't understand why companies don't hold a release back until they fix all the glitches.

And this was a title that was coming out April 25th and got moved up.
