Although there is no need to mail out demos anymore as you can download them directly from Xbox Live now. |
IIRC, you need the HD, but 360 comes with a silver membership which allows you to (pay to) download demos and such, but does not allow for on-line gameplay, except on certain "free gold" weekends that sometimes occur.

The Xbox 360 taunts you. :( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../NoFriends.jpg |
I picked up a Harmony at Sam's Club not long ago for my TV setup downstairs, but will now use that one for the bedroom while using the new Xbox harmony downstairs to go along with the 360. |
Yeah, the XBOX HArmony remote is damn good. I'm really enjoying it. The software to set it up is a bit clunky (you have to connect to Logitech's servers to update, I think it was overloaded).
It controls everything great though. I really needed a universal remote, this seems to fit the bill. |

Whoa....glad they are putting up new Demos. Everyone should play Condemned at least once.
|
They need to skip the current release demos and release demos for upcoming games. For example:
With Top Spin 2 supposedly out in 3 weeks, there is a surprising lack of info on the title. Anyone seen or heard anything about it? I've viewed the trailers at IGN but those are months old and is all I've seen. What gives? Business as usual for MS? |
condemned is indeed really good. play it in a dark room! ;)
|
Quick question about using Xbox Live with guests (two or more people using one account): can the guest use their own headphone, or only the primary user?
Also, just picked up the vga adapter, and it's a great alternative for people with computer monitors but no HDTV as of yet. |

Oooh, I've got to download that tonight. How big is the download? I remember Kameo being around 550MB. Chris |

I know we get DOA4 this month, but 1 game in a month is a little disappointing. It seems like Top Spin2 and NCAA 2K6 are the only January releases also. |
Yeah. It's a trickle through the end of February, but if March delivers on everything that's promised, it should more than make up for that drought. Cannot wait for Dead Rising.
Xboyde's 'future release' list is based around European dates, but it's more up-to-date than IGN's. |
D'oh! They have Feb. for TS2. I hope IGN's date is right on Top Spin, set for Jan. 23 according to them. Means I can still snag it with a BB coupon for $40. That's what I was hoping for anyway.
So much for that promise of 15-20 new games every couple of weeks. |
That could just be a European date and it'll hit the U.S. on 1/23 as expected.

So much for that promise of 15-20 new games every couple of weeks. When did they make that sort of promise? That seems a bit rediculous to expect that much, especially from a brand new system. |

Not promised, but early on there were articles that mentioned 15-20 titles every few weeks after launch. Not that I expected such anyway if it was true.

Chris Wow, so far, I'm impressed with the game. The problem is the zero replay value. Tough to spend $60 on a game you can finish in 6 hours and never play again. |

I might just have to start renting games if they are that short. And I usually play games, very slowly. I don't try to beat them (even if I could) as fast as I can. :) Chris |
Someone reported on Gamefaqs that the Quake 4 demo is available but I can't confirm, and since I own the game, I don't care.
The good news, it apparently has Live play. BTW, I'm happy they are adding more demos, but I wish they would work more on the backwards compatible list. I'm dying to play Doom3 on the 360. |
Indeed it is. 600 megs.
