How long after planting a piece of fruit in the ground until it is a tree with actual fruit?
I planted some and I notice that I have small trees in the ground. But it has only been two days since I planted the fruit.

I still need to finish putting in most of the people on the list.
I'll be opening my gates in a little while when I am home on lunch.
I have to dig up a golden shovel that is a spare. I could trade it for something if anyone wants one. I already have one myself.

I finally picked this up last night after remebering my fond year or 2 with the GC version, but I have a question. Is there no longer a way to give item codes to people to trade with? I recall making codes for fruit and swapping to get non-native fruit for my town. I don't really understand the whole 'town gate' thing. DO people come to your town online and give you stuff? How do I trade withough going online?

adding friends while visiting
Here's something interesting, I was visiting Sped from Cap Hill and Drew from Hobbiton showed up, I didn't have Drew on my friends roster but because we were both visiting Cap Hill I was able to add him immediately to my friends roster without having to imput the number code.
Also yesterday Jeremy from Catopia and I were trying to shake trees to see if one would get the bee hive and the other one would catch the bee, but the bee hives never fell. I guess you can shake trees without getting stung as long as you have a guest in town. Anyone else try this?
