Well, I've been trying to get into your town and I'm having trouble as well.

It's connecting to the Wi-fi though. It's letting me get to the menu to choose which 'Distant Town' to go to, and your name and town are on there. But when I confirm that, it goes through the "formalities" for a minute, then this message comes up:
"For some curious reason, you cannot go out now. <86420> "

Oh, I just tried again and the number at the end changed to <81010>

So I don't know. I tried with both my game and Suprmallet's (Sand in Sandland) without any luck. There might be something wrong on your end, because earlier I was able to go out to Warswift's town, and had both him and Outlaw come visit my town.

I'm still trying to connect as Sand and not having any luck.

And I know I can't buy the gyroids back. I don't really care though. I don't like them all that much, and would rather have space in my cabinets for other things.


Oh, and I've been bypassing the swear filter in the game using the special characters. So, I actually have them saying "fück" and other things that would normally be blanked out.
It's not doing it for everyone though. My Nook has been acting that way, while Suprmallet's hasn't been that way at all. Eh, maybe it's because I've talked to my Nook every day and asked him about it.

though it might not help much since it seems like a standard error msg. outer-edge used to have trouble connecting to me, but it was just that I wasn't showing up on his list for some reason despite him being able to before, its fixed by itself somehow. Maybe there's too much going on the tanman's network or he's downloading something? It says stuff about firewall issues but if people can connect to you and you to them and us to tanman and tanman to us, it doesn't seem like the case, but you never know...

I have the day off work today so I've been able to check turnips, only 82.

And thanks outer-edge for dropping the painting! I went over my town and thought did my paintings collection just grow?! Sure enough it did. Phhssh Red had a famous painting, one of the four that I am now missing. Yep. A Fake. That darn Fox! The fake paintings are so annoying!

I got lucky on Sunday. I had that guy show up offering insurance and I took it. Later that day, I got stung by bees. lol

But the next day, I received a letter and a bag of a couple hundred bells for compensation.
And then yesterday, I had Reed in my town. Purchased a painting that turned out to be a fake. Should get that compensation today I believe.

You have to hold onto the painting, and give it to Lyle next time you see him to get compensation. You only get the normal 100 bells for it, and Lyle will hound you to buy insurance again at a higher price.

Only 100 bells? I guess I misread that. I thought I would get the price I paid back in compensation.

Man, that sucks. 3500 bells for a fake painting and only get 100 bells back, after paying 3000 bells for the insurance. What a scam.
