If that's true, and you bury 45K, that's a 45% chance to double your money? Isn't that not-so-great odds?

That's exactly why I'm not going the money tree method. Those odds are not to my liking.
I have a question for those with 2 or more folks on the same cart; does each person in the house get a money rock and bell/furntiure trees to shake? Or is it 1 per town?

Also, I've received 2 items from Pascal and I thought they were rare however they show up in my catalog. Are there other ways to get these items (Ie Nooks or Red)?

Lastly, Isn't the flea market suppose to be once a month? Is there not one this month? I saw a schedule online and it wasn't listed. Anyone have the strategy guide to confirm?

Does the money tree only give money once and then die? or do you get 3 bags of 30K every three days?

The money tree doesn't die; it bears money bags once then reverts to a normal tree, as far as I know. Definitely nothing like the Gamecube version, unfortunately.

Hey guys

I opened the gates to my town and it'll be open for a couple of hours (It's 6:20 eastern right now)., please come in and get some nice expensive foreign fruits and other things, there's some things left at Nooks and maybe even some rare fish.

edit: Gates are closed. Thanks for visiting. I spent an hour fishing, got a stringfish (15,000 bells) .

sdcrym,
I couldn't find the kitten last night. I searched with the gate open and the gate closed. I also checked the houses; no kitten.

Hmm, I guess the mother kitten must've been confused. That's strange.

Yeah, I'm done with the money tree since its so risky. I can bag 130,000 bell on days when my fruit trees come in so I am using that to pay off the house. I should have my house paid off tomorrow to get my next room.

Also, I'm still missing the Robocloset. If anyone can get one of those for me I will pay bell or whatever to get it. That is the last item I need to finish my Robo set. Thanks to jediwicz for finding the RoboTV for me.

Among the supposed luck boosting items I have the Samurai Suit, Lucky Cat, Righty Lucky Cat, and Jack N the Box. I can also get the country guitar to trade to KK for his pic. If anyone wants that stuff let me know and I can open my town later today and leave it on the ground so you can add it to your catalog.

I'll probably open my town for an hour around 6pm central for anyone interested. I'll leave what stuff I have on the ground and you can pick it up and drop it to add to your catalog.

I'd be interested in borrowing the Samurai Suit, Righty Lucky Cat, and Jack N the Box. I've only got the Robo chair, wall, and floor... sorry.

I have the following extras available if anybody wants to buy them or exchange them for something I don't have:

mini buzzoid
rustoid

dimetrodon skull
dimetrodon tail
ankylo tail
seismo hip
plesio skull
plesio neck

I can also order the following paintings:

basic
flowery
moving
opulent
quaint
warm

I think it'd be nice to see if we can help each other out with extra fossils and gyroids rather than selling them off immediately. I can't speak for others, but I'd be willing to pay at least what Nook pays for any of these items I don't have yet. Helping each other out with the paintings is a no-brainer since you can reorder duplicates from Nook at any time.

I agree. btw, I got the scary painting sdcrym. I'll place an order for you tonight. Not sure If I should make a seperate thread for this or just post here but we should add turnip prices to our posts, once turnips are on sale again that is.
So far nothing ridiculous yet (some guy at GF his nook is buying turnips at 506) but we should keep track. Maybe a selling post on sundays.

Yeah, probably just prices that are significantly higher than 100. No point in posting about a price of 47. It shouldn't take up that much room here.

My last couple of paintings have been fake so I can't add anything there, but I do have the Jack N the Box, country guitar, lefty Lucky Cat, Samurai Suit, Miniature Car (2X red) laying out if anyone wants to add those to inventory. I also have several of the space set pieces out there as well. Feel free to stop by if anyone wants to add any of this stuff. I will leave the town open for about another 45 minutes.

I agree with the gyroids and extra dinosaur pieces. I'll start saving the extras to see if anyone needs some missing ones.

I'll be home in a hour or so to open my town. Surprisingly I have yet to get a dup gyroid but I'll start hanging on to the dup fossils.

I have crap all over my town (including every single gyroid I've ever dug up) because of the lack of storage space in my house. Though they mayor did wipe out a bunch of stuff when that New Years clock showed up in front of Town Hall (which used to be my depository for stuff). I'm glad none of the neighbors ever bother to pick stuff up.

I've also had that problem where I have the momma cat looking for her daughter in my town, but when I go to the other town no kitten is there. I've already had the kitten lost in my town twice and brought her back (getting their portrait in the process) but what do I do when mother's in town?

Speaking of portraits, I've only gotten one so far (besides the kitten/mom one)... anyone else get a bunch?

I'll keep an eye out for next time your town is open. I'd love to get the samurai suit.

I finally paid off the second house, time for the third incarnation. I found this object the other day, "Hearth," which looks like a fish dangling on a pole, suspended into a cooking pot. I'm guessing it's from the oriental theme. WhoGirl found the Moon, which I thought was so delightful that I borrowed it to add to my catalogue.

I'm have very bad luck with growing trees. They have all vanished on me. I thought it might be because there is tree limit so I cut half of them down but that didn't work. I tried watering them but that didn't work either. At that point I ran out of fruit but got coconut on the beach, but that died also because I didn't know it had to be near the ocean.

Damn it its like I'm living in Hell. Oh wait. Any way give me some tree tips before I start again.

The moon is very cool, and I found it in the recycling bin. It's worth 8,000 bells and when you open it inside your house it rotates.

I just started out three days ago and I've already paid off my first house - Thanks to selling my native fruit in Supr's town and his fruit in mine.

I would like to open my gates soon, but since I just started I wanna get more established before doing so. I've also added everyone who listed their native fruit to my list.

I don't know if there are specific rules for trees, but in my experience, spacing between trees matters. Leave at least one space away from other trees, objects and boundaries. Some times, I just could not get a tree to grow in an area, other times everything took. If you think the area is sound, then as soon as you see the dead sapling, sig it up and plant another and try again.

That's very unfortunate indeed. I had always wanted to plant a grove of golden trees. They remind me of Lothlórien from the LOTR books.

I found most success in removing existing trees and planting fruit there.
For coconuts they have to be close to shore but not actually in the sand to grow.

Regarding getting your saplings to survive, if you plant a tree where you've just pulled or dug up a weed, it will thrive 100% of the time. It's not going to give you all the trees you want, but it helps.

Like squidget mentioned, this also applies when chopping down existing trees and planting the new sapling in the same spot after you dig up the stump. Using this method I replaced all but one of my native apple trees with exotic fruit trees.

It's not 100% of the time (I've planted on a weed before and gotten nothing) but it's a large percentage.

the other thread got locked, but I had no idea there were plans for Animal Crossing for the Revolution... if that's true, that makes it easier for me to get the wife to agree to one.

I just assumed that they would be. Just like I assume a new Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon etc. game will eventually make its way.
