There are only half the objectives in Agent/ [cough]EASY[/cough] mode.Anyone recognize any voice talent? I know I heard Wallace Shawn, and I swear the other female lead sounds like Salma Hayek.

Question:
I put in the bonus DVD that comes with the collectors edition, and supposedly saved the special 'perfect dark HUD' to my HD...but how do I enable it on my 360?
It's called the "Perfect Dark Zero Heads-Up Display (HUD) UI Skin". Do I go into system setting somewhere?

I just picked up PD0 a couple of days ago. I'm enjoying it so far. I just got back on Live, so if anyone is on just give me an invite or add me to your friends list. All my info is in my sig.
Also, I want to to back into Halo2 so I'm willing to play again. I think I'm still in the DVD clan. See yall on live...

Finally got around to playing Perfect Dark Zero today and I'm liking it quite a bit thus far (I've completed the first two missions and the training). I never played the original for N64 so I didnt go into it with any expectations. Have yet to try it out on live though...

yeah the collectors edition isnt worth it, nothing on the other disc, I was hoping it would be like the halo 2 disc.
I am enjoying the game, but I wish the story was better and told better.

I just got around to playing this one last night (been playing Madden mostly) and so far I'm loving it. Definitely channels some GoldenEye vibes from back in the day.

Perfect Dark was an excellent game that was more or less as solid and as brilliant as it's predecesor, GoldenEye. I noticed that both
GoldenEye and Perfect Dark's main strength was in the multiplayer rather than the single player, even though the singleplayer for both Rare games was consistently good as well.
And comparing the single player for both GoldenEye and
Perfect Dark, I noticed that the single player for GoldenEye was in some ways superior to Perfect Dark's but I guess that mostly comes down to story and characters. But Rare cheated, since they already had a reasonably coherent plot and fairly strong characters laid down for them in the GoldenEye movie. They did not have that luxury with Perfect Dark since they had to create a new plot and characters from scratch. And Rare are games developers, not writers.
I really liked the single player for Perfect Dark but the plot for it was a load of hokey nonsense involving cloning the president, aliens and other bullshit. I heard that Perfect Dark Zero still has a fairly weak plot, but as long as it doesn't involve Elvis the alien grey and it takes place in spy setting with urban or exotic locations instead of alien ruins, then I am satisfied.

I played PD0 on Live last night. It wasn't too bad after I got my bearing. Of course, everyone will compare it to Halo for the game-play. Its not as good, but it was still pretty fun. Maybe after more than one night of playing, I'll feel more comfortable with it. I was playing in the recreation zone. For the most part, everyone was cool and there was very minimal cussing. I played CTF most of the time, I kept trying to run with the flag and throw it( have to remeber not Halo). Also, I kept trying to hit the A button to jump. Look me up if your on.
Question: How do I tell what my ranking is and where do I find it?

Can someone please tell me how to beat the boss (I think it's a boss...) in Mission 3 right at the checkpoint. I've tried it single player and co-op with a friend. I guess I could go down to Agent, but I'd rather not.

The Simple Answer is: Focus all your gunfire on one of the two cylindrical engines of the craft, once it's destroyed he will fly away. You do NOT have to destroy both engines.
The More Complex Answer: Whoever's playing Jack should be focusing his attention on the enemies who keep respawning around the perimiter, taking potshots at the boss's engine when he can. There's a chokepoint at the end of a walkway where Jack can use Cover and strafe back and forth killing the enemies as they run towards him...after much trial and error, this seemed to work best because not only was there no concern for enemies popping up behind Jack, but Killian's craft was often flying right above so Jack could take some potshots here and there. As for Joanna, there are 3 indestructible shacks which she can hide behind which will protect her from Killian's gunfire and rockets. It's tricky though, because you basically have to constantly watch your radar and maneuver around the shack keeping yourself on the opposite side of Killian. Then, after a minute or so, Killian will hover and descend while dropping off more enemies...this is ALWAYS in the same location, and it gives you 10 seconds or so of completely safe attacks on him. Once he takes off, run to the second shack, repeat, etc. You do have to watch out for some enemies spawning on your level too, so it's all quite hectic, and one rocket can instakill you. Eventually the engine you're firing at will start smoking, then flaming, then be straight out On Fire...keep pelting it with ammo and after a few seconds you will be given the Objective Complete signal.
Good luck!

Anyone having trouble playing this game on XBOX LIVE? It seems I am able to join about 1 in 10 games successfully. The other 9 times I get a message saying I have lost connection before the match even starts. PGR3 and Call of Duty 2 work fine on-line.

Questions Regarding Perfect Dark Zero
1) Is the level design very good? Are the single player and multiplayer maps in PDZ every bit as well thought out and as inspired as the level designs found in GoldenEye and Perfect Dark Zero?
2) Is the weapon variation good and are the weapons realistic looking and fun to use?
3) Is the single player overall a good single player, with a solid plot and decent enough mission objectives? Is the single player for PDZ as good as the excellent singler player modes found on GoldenEye and Perfect Dark?
4) Can you give me a description of what kind of bad guys you face, like what uniforms they wear, what kind of weapons they are equipped with and what their AI is like?
5) Is the multiplayer mode as good, or better than the multiplayer modes found on GoldenEye and Perfect Dark? I heard that Co-operative is by far the most popular mode in PDZ.
6) How are graphics? Are the enviroments well realised and are the NPC models convincing looking? Judging from screenshots and a demo I saw in a game store, Perfect Dark Zero had suprisingly realistic looking enviroments with mind boggling detail added to the enviroment funiture and props, but semi-cartoon looking human characters.
