Deep blue is a bitch to control. All the water areas are cheapened because of it. I don't even want to mess with it. If I have to swim across an area, I just use kameo on top of the water, sure she is slower & I may be missing some crates or treasure chests, but at least I can control her.
That being said

Oh, and thanks for the help earlier masterofDVD. Definitely once you see it, one of those "I'm an idiot" moments to be sure.

I'm once again stuck on a boss battle and I have to say the boss is cheap. I am taking another break from the game in the hopes that it will better my chances.

Anyone played Kameo co-op yet? I was playing this with my girlfriend last night and thought that the system would be autosaving in the same spots that the regular play does... however when I started the co-op back up, it restarted me at the beginning. Is there something I'm missing here?

I'm also curious about the pearls. Maybe only a later Elemental can do something with them.

True, it stinks.

If that was a widespread problem, then it would be noted in the various internet reviews. You need to exchange that bad disc.

Well, I decided to try my rental of King Kong again last night and it worked fine...maybe just that one part had a sound glitch. weird. It worked great though, the game is pretty good. Glad I rented it though. Graphics and sound are amazing, but a bit repetitive. Not sure how much I really like the Kong levels (I only played the first, seemed ok)

For anyone that has PGR3, please tell me that it isn't filled with jackasses that take themselves and the game too seriously.
I played a game online for the first time today. It was my first online game and I did the random race to just jump in a race.
Well, it starts and there are 6 of us total. I was in the lead car on the line and speed away to get out of other peoples way and just continue on.
The very first turn, someone hits me from behind, causing me to turn and tbone into a rail, and hitting someone else causing them to spin out.
The person that I caused to spin out, because someone hit me, proceeds to call me all sorts of names and then leaves me negative feedback citing "Unsportsmanlike conduct"
Like I did that on purpose. I didn't even see the guy the rest of the race because while I was recovering from the crash, he speed away and finished first. Some people are way to quick to assume you do things on purpose. I could see if I was neck and neck with him and kept bumping him or causing him to crash. But it was one instance in the first turn which is always a mess.
I got him in the next race I did as well, and left him the same negative feedback. I wonder why you can't see the rep of everyone else, just your own. I don't want to see who leaves me feedback, just what the feedback level is. And I'd like to see what feedback people have racked up. Not just the star level they have.
If that is how every live race will be, I'm either going to trade it in or keep it for solo mode and racing against friends.
And so much for the trueranking system as well. In the lobby it placed me in, I was unranked, and there were much higher rank people in there with me.

Then about 4 of them will whine for the rest of the race.
I was able to find a Gotham TV feed of this guy in another race and watched him race.
He was just as bad as what he complained about. He swerved in front of people causing them to swerve away. He hit the wall. He kept bumping people all over the track. Granted, he finished first, but he wasn't exactly a "clean" racer.
Hopefully as more people get the game and a system, the matchmaking will be better. It seems that since not a lot of people are playing it, matching up gets you with much better and higher ranked people.

This exact same thing has happened to me. If you look at my Xbox Live feedback, you will see that supposedly 50% of people have left me negative feedback for being "overly aggressive." I played about 20 online matches, and never put on my headset (just as I don't in Halo rumble pit games). There are a few people who are major -blam!-s on there, just like there are some in Halo. The problem is signifigantly compounded by the fact that there is a console shortage, so there are only a few thousand people playing on Live at any given time. I don't think there are enough people for the Trueskill ranking to work effectively.
My tip from playing a lot of TOCA 2 (another game FULL and I mean FULL of jerks) -- always wear your headset. If you wreck, even if it's not your fault, just say "sorry, guys, I'm new at this game." Never say anything nasty. A few people might leave you negative feedback, but a lot of people will make you preferred just because you were nice about it.
On PGR3, when I was playing online for a few hours, I made sure to always note the guys who said "nice race" after the game, and made them preferred. I left neg for the jerks whenever I could. Soon, I was getting matched up with the "nice race" guys in almost every race, and never met any of the neg feedback guys again.
There you go, good luck, hope that helps out your matchmaking.

I was racing and didn't have the best car in my class, but I got to the front of the pack. We were in NYC where there are those super long straights (10 seconds plus). I was going like 165 and a guy was slowly catching me up. I watched him in my rearview and when he went to pass me, I shut the door, Nascar style. He ended up in the wall and was really really pissed. Is that bad form? Shouldn't people have to work to pass you? Should I have just let him go?

Question for people with PGR3...
Does it have the same single player mode like PGR2, which I loved?
I flipped through the game guide last night and it doesn't look like they had anything like that.
I'm talking about the mode where you go through the ranks of cars doing races, best laps, cone challenge, etc.

Just noticed that you're Duster72. I think I got a friend invite from you last night but I forgot to accept. I'll do that later, especially after reading your post about hating the jerks.
