Hey LA folks does LA always look so hazy? A majority of the screen shots have a high noon or early dawn look to them. I hated that in the other GTA games cause the sun would blind you when walking or driving. I lost count of the number of missions that turned into a 3-5 star police chase because I accidently ran over a cop or hit a cruiser because I couldn't see too good.

Forget the gas tanker, I'm all about the combine harvester! |
Oh snap! This just keeps getting better and better.
I'm still going to wait for the PC version though (whenever they announce it). |

Look at them man boobs.
I wonder if the fat transformation will be a gradual one, or one where the screen goes black and a fatter version of CJ appears. |
Wow. This game looks so amazing. The screenshots in the forests are breathtaking. Just the idea of traversing so many landscapes in a GTA game sounds promising.
My apologies for being so taken away.....must keep overly cynical critical edge :). |
Here is a "confirmed" list of additions and features as well as some details about a few of the missions

I'm really excited for this game, but I hope that a lot of the features aren't required to move on to different missions. Some things like keeping control of territory throughout the game sound tedious.

Gamespot has a great preview up. This game sounds like it'll take years to explore and complete!
|
anyone have a clue as to why rockstar's official site for the game ( http://www.rockstargames.com/sanandreas/ ) still has the original 4 screens they released months ago? vice city's website was updated early and often with teasers and screens.

Wow. I remember reading that even the developers got lost in the game. Now I really believe it. |
|
Oh man, these pics look sweet. When is San Andreas coming out? I will need to buy a PS2.

Wow, I don't know if I'm going to be able to handle this game. I had a helluva time finding my routes around Vice City... and I still don't even know it all that well yet. Five times the size? You know how hard it's going to be to come across all of the hidden packages? Finish all the missions? Buy all the businesses?Ahhhhh wow. Is it October yet?

There are street names this time around. Hopefully that'll make finding your way to places easier.
The more I see, the more I want this game. I was going to wait until the PC version came out, but I think I'll have to get this the day it comes out for the PS2. I can't wait to see the Las Vegas city. |
The more I see, the more I like

The latest issue of Official Playstation 2 Magazine UK has just been published, and it includes a 3-and-a-half page feature about Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. A little more information is divulged about the countryside, with place names like "The Back O' Beyond", "Shady Creek" and "Flint County" all coming up. It is also suggested that to cycle from Los Santos to "The Back O' Beyond" would take around 40 minutes, showing the sheer scale of the game. |
