Since they're going to have 3D games on these new handhelds, I really hope they add an analog control of some sort to them. Aside from Tony Hawk and others like it, these games aren't going to be as good with a D-pad. A stick wouldn't work, so how about something like the sliding control on the NES Max? I don't know if I'll get a PSP since it has that broken-up D-pad that I hate, and unlike with the console, you can't use an alternate controller.
Also, it would be nice if the bottom screen on the DS was vertically oriented so that you could play vertical shooters and stuff like Pac-Man full-screen on it.

Alot of potential there for a great rap soundtrack. Please be set in the mid-90's.

Re: PSP -- can we get a *****ing price please? My interest in this thing plummeted last year when the guy from Sony Europe said they weren't going to sell the hardware at a loss and the price would be "close to £200." I want to know whether or not Sony has changed their minds on this since then or if I should just sit on my hands waiting for it to drop to a semi-reasonable price.

No price and no answer on battery life. I've seen up to 10 hours and as low as 2 1/2. Spinning that disc can't be good though. And will it break like my Sony PDA and 2 PS2's?

Smart money has it that 10 hours refers to music mode (when the screen isn't on and the disc isn't spinning at all, since the files are read off the Memory Stick), 7 hours refers to game mode, and 2 1/2 hours refers to movie mode (when the disc would be spinning pretty much constantly). That sounds reasonable to me although the way the Sony rep waffled on it at the press conference doesn't bolster my confidence much.

I really think the PSP will be $249.99, while the DS qill be $149.99, or $129.99. If Nintendo prices the DS at $99.99, I will be buying two.

Think about it, the mods never delete the threads, they only lock them. It would have had to been deleted by the OP, but why?
