I do hope Nintendo sends us a display of some sort, but I do doubt that. Last year all we got was a REALLY crappy Metroid Prime display...oh, and 3 Metroid Prime trading cards.
You wouldn't still happen to have those cards would you?

I keep looking around for a Zero Mission display box to go side by side with my now semi-beat-up Fusion display box.. nobody has gotten anything yet.

We (EB) just got a Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles promo box. It had three button down shirts embroidered, a bunch of lanyards, buttons for three character classes in the game and some badge thingies. No Metroid yet.

THANK YOU JESUS!!

Game Informer has confirmed ORIGINAL NES METROID is ONE of the unlockable bonuses.

That's much cooler than the unlockable in Fusion/Prime where you could only play it on the GC.

I'm indifferent as I can't even recall the last time I played my GBA outside of the house. Hell I've hardly touched the thing since getting the GBA player.

Hard Mode and NES Metroid are unlockables.

Connect Metroid Zero Mission to Metrid Fusion and receive a Metroid Art Gallery.

I'm really hoping that in addition to the art gallery, they have the ending gallery that the Japanese version of Fusion had.. and hopefully there are different ending pics for hard mode (again, just like Japanese Fusion)..

A little thing I noticed from the EGM pics is that your max number of energy tanks is six!!!

I'll have to find and post the picture of the Kraid/Ridley Statue room later today.. it looks REALLY cool (and this time you can't bomb jump to Tourian early LOL).

Even though I have 1.5 copies of the original NES Metroid, having the NES Metroid on portable is well worth the cost alone. It's just great we get a super-remake of it as well.

Everybody be sure to visit Metroid Metal:

I'll get this when it hits $15, just to have it. Considering I own Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion, and Super Metroid and could never get into any of them, it's not high on my priority list. I'll stick to the Zelda series, Nintendo's true crowning achievement.

You'll be waiting for a while. Metroid Fusion is still $30.

HEY!! Did you get any of those really cool big promo boxes for it? They're like a regular GBA game box but HUGE.

Example:

I want to get it so I can have the 2 sitting side by side.

Would you be willing to send a couple of those things to me when you're done with the promotion? Mainly the standee and poster.. I could Paypal a bit for shipping and some extra.

I'll see what I can grab...I'm sure I can get a promo display box (normal gba box sized) for ya. I dunno about the mini standee type thing, that has to stay by the GBA SP for the demo.

Don't worry about the mini boxes.. if you can get the other stuff when you're done with the demo and all I'd really be happy.

Is the unlockable version of the orignal one of those things that you have to beat the game while standing on your head and whistling Dixie kind of things, or just something you can unlock from the menu?

I imagine it opens up simply by beating this game, but I don't think it's been announced yet.

I saved one of the Target 63% off rainchecks just for this. I'll be getting Zero Missions for $11.10 plus tax.
