Yeah but he is a master of misleading people. Remember MGS2 demos and movies always showed Snake in the big shell sections rather than Raiden.

I took that comment back. Hideo never confirmed it yet. I misread an interview from yesterday.

About Raiden -

Hideo never said that Snake would be the main character throughout MGS2, so he didn't mislead people.

For MGS3, so far he has said that the game takes place in the 60s, and taht you control one character and one only throughout the entire game.

Personally I hope it is Big Boss, because frankly I can't see it working any other way.

I just don't like the fact that Hideo is setting up a "big twist" for us. These kind of things almost always end up in disappointments. As soon as ppl hear about a "big twist", they just keep hyping it up to the point where its impossible to live up to its expectations.

From watching all the trailers so far,, it seems obvious that it's big boss.

The only thing that makes me doubt this is the fact that Kojima will not confirm it. I'm sure hes smart enough to realize that almost all Metal Gear fans by now are thinking it's big boss, so it's just weird that he doesn't come out and say "yes, that is big boss".

Hmmmm.. I wonder if there'll be a flashbacks in the game where you play big boss back in the day and then flash forward to snake. I refuse to believe that HK is making it so obvious that you play as big boss and that's it. There has to be more to it than that. Either there are flashbacks, or it's some sort of a simulation like MGS1, or you only play in the 1960's for the first 10 minutes and then play the rest in the present day.

Wallace the only issue I have with twists is that you generally find out about them from the reviews or forums before you play the game. HK did mislead us with the MGS2 previews since they all showed Snake playing in the big shell, not Raiden. At any rate I'm looking forward to this game big time.

I don't care if we end up playing as more than one character as long as those characters are Solid Snake and Big Boss. No more Raiden-like characters please!

Hideo already ruled that out in an interview.

Interesting how the way snake is deployed to the jungle changed from the Japanese trailer. In this one he is launched in a missle type thing and then parachutes in at the last minute. In the older Japanese preview he's deployed via a halo jump from really high up. Wonder if they changed it or if they are different jumps? Or different time periods? Or different Snakes? My head hurts....

Some new screens. The faces almost look as good as the ones I've seen in half life 2.

Whoa! I love my PS2 but how can games on it possibly look that good?

Will we require to use the HDD coes I swear this will probably lead to some serious slowdown.
