Re: Remember (insert show)?

Some of these shows are just regular shows that aired for a little while, not really Hey do you remember that show? Shows.

Anyway does anyone remember Brothers, it was on Showtime in the 80's.
I watched it mostly for Robin Riker who I hade a crush on in this series.

Robert Walden was in it and so was Yeardley Smith. James Avery was also on it.

Yes, I was going to mention that one! We got one of those big ass satellite dishes when I was in high school back in 1985, and since we didn't have HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, etc. in Canada (and we didn't have cable anyway), this was the first time I watched a lot of the shows on those channels (and back then the signals weren't being scrambled yet). My parents really loved Brothers, and we watched it every week. I haven't seen it in the 40 years since, so I've mostly forgotten any details. I remember liking it at the time though.

I remember watching this when it first aired and one episode had a woman playing a maid that Martin was attracted to. And for good reason, she was really hot. The next time I saw her she was starring opposite Antonio Banderas in Desperado.

I was disappointed when PROBE was canceled after only a handful of episodes.

Salma doesn't get naked but she does give some good "sexy woman in a maid uniform" fantasy fodder.

Charles Brothers had nothing to do with this, and Burrows was just a hired gun pilot director. Real creators and producers are in the credits.
Did it even have a pilot? If I remember correctly the funniest episode, which premiered the series, was actually taped last because the producers thought the series jumped into the situation too quickly. They added an episode to show how they got married and broadcast it first.

The "Hey, remember that show?" Thread

Not sure there's a thread like this, but I sometimes go down rabbit-holes when looking up an actor or director. During one of these searches I came across two series that a director had helmed a couple episodes of: "Raines" (2007) starring Jeff Goldblum (only 7 episodes) and "Robbery Homicide Division" (2002-03) created by Michael Mann and starring Tom Sizemore. Both of these shows I remember watching when they aired. I kind of wish the networks (Raines was NBC, RHD was CBS) would release them on DVD. And checking, Raines is available to watch for free on The Roku Channel while RHD isn't available that I could find.

that wasn’t bad show at all.

i was a big fan of Carla Gugino’s “Karen Sisco”. That show should have been given a longer run.
