Re: Remember (insert show)?

"This man has a singular advantage over other men. Ben Richards is immune to every known disease including old age. Periodic transfusions can give other men a second , a third lifetime, perhaps more. Ben Richards will live longer than anyone has ever lived, but a transfusion to the wrong man could make him a prisoner for all time. So he runs from the hunters, the human hounds who would cage him."

Re: Remember (insert show)?

This was kind of a X Files clone with a really cool cast. Carla Gugino, Peter Dinklage and Brent Spiner.... What I liked about the show was the changed perspective. Usually shows like this have people uncovering an alien invasion the conspiracy to cover up the invasion, while secret government section try are the adversaries. In Threshold Carla Gugino's team covering up the alien invasion.
I have both of those TV shows on DVD, how about The Burning Zone?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Tamlyn Tomita, it started out really well, but just disappeared.

From the time Fox only broadcast on Saturday and Sunday nights:
And before making it to one of those Sunday Fox shows, David Garrison starred in this short-lived NBC sitcom alongside Jason Bateman:

Re: Remember (insert show)?
In the immediate aftermath of LOST success, there was a run of "mystery box" TV shows. One came out called "The Nine" which seemed really interesting. I was very invested in it but it got canceled after about 6 episodes. The mystery was never explained. I have forgotten most of the details, but I do remember liking it a lot.
Here's the trailer.

Yeah a lot of those serialized shows coming off Lost that had some "big underlying mystery" were flops in the mid 2000s to 2010ish range.
One that I thought was really good, but was cancelled as well was Day Break that starred Taye Diggs. It was basically a cop thriller stylized like Groundhog Day with an underlying mystery.
Here is the promo
It was great. But, was cancelled after only a few episodes. ABC did however give the producers some money to complete post production on the remaining episodes and they streamed online on ABC's site. There was no Hulu back then.
One of the members of Day Break's production team used to post here and posted some updates on the episodes when they were being worked on and completed. He's been gone many years now.

Re: Remember (insert show)?
Another Lost inspired mystery shows was Zero Hour. Starred Anthony Edwards and had something to do with a Nazi plot going back to WWII and some kind of clock type relic. ABC cancelled it after 3 episodes, then burned off the last seven episodes in the summer on Saturday nights.

Re: Remember (insert show)?
Couple I remember watching as a kid in the 60s
My Living Doll. Julie Newmar is a sexy robot. Robert Cummings is he guy who created her or something. She lives with him and I think he tries to pass her off as his wife. He doesn't want anybody to know she's a robot.
Occasional Wife. Playboy bachelor is an executive for some company. Big boss starts a new policy that all executives must be married. The playboy gets the girl in the apartment below him to pretend to be his wife whenever the boss is around. I remember the apartments had balconies and they're always using the balconies to get from one apartment to the other without the boss seeing.

A to Z was a show with charming leads that never got any traction. They didn't even have enough episodes to get to Z. I barely remember the show these days, but it did give us this great moment.

Re: Remember (insert show)?

This show was created by Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco after their Oscar success with Crash. The show revolves around a family of Irish American small time gangsters in Hell's Kitchen. It was a darker version of Shameless and it was cancelled after 7 episodes, with the remaining episodes made available online, but sadly it ended with a cliffhanger and some loose ends, but since the show was narrated by an unreliable narrator anyway, you can't take anything for granted.
In my opinion a broadcast network was the wrong medium for a show like that and it should have been something on cable.

Focusing on more kids TV:
Today's Special - Didn't realize it's Canadian. About a mannequin who comes to life after hours at a department store.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0198253/reference/
321 Contact - Kind of a kids variety show. A segment they did was called Mathnet where it featured "cops" that would run around holding calculators like they were guns.

Even that last season (or two?) of Californication? because that was some of the worst television imaginable. Whichever season had his long lost son or whatever stupid plot that was.
That was as bad as adding Andrew Dice Clay to Entourage and getting Vince hooked on drugs.
