This was pretty good and I like the setting in France. Definitely a lot of set up and appears to be slower in pace than Dead City. And the majority of the cast aside from Reedus is French or from the Uk.

Another great episode. Was surprised that it was up this early on Sunday via AMC+.

The scene with the "band" was crazy and fucked up. It reminded me of Land of the Dead/Escape From NY/LA for some reason.

Reedus announced today at NY Comic Con that Melissa McBride will join season 2 as a series regular.

He’s allowed to promote it because AMC struck a deal with the actors.

and it’s now going to be titled: The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon- The Book of Carol.

Just watched E5 a couple of days ago and it was great. Season finale is this weekend.

Wrapped it up yesterday and it was cool. I think announcing Carol coming in for S2 should have been kept under wraps since they pretty much set it up on the final episode anyway. But announcing it 4 days early was stupid.

I was very pleasantly surprised how much I liked this, though a very low bar had been set by the other offshoots (as well as the last handful of seasons of the original). While this had a few groaner moments reminiscent of the other shows, I was able to pretty easily pass over them because not only were there far, far fewer of them but also the general quality of the production was vastly superior to the other shows.

I will definitely look forward to the next season, as opposed to say the upcoming “Fear” season which I’m sure will be yet another ridiculous abomination.

To be fair, hadn’t the finale already been made available on AMC+ or whatever?

Also, when I posted above I wasn’t aware this had an all new show runner as the odious failure Angela Kang left as the show was still being put together. That explains a lot about the huge jump in quality over the other shows.

Probably but at least it's the last half of the final season. I quit Fear around season 3 or 4.

Yeah, it premiered at 3am EST Sunday. I watched it at noon PST, so just by a few hours. They no longer do days in advance. The tweet DJariya posted was tweeted October 12, so several days before.

Re: The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (AMC)

Season 3 trailer. It drops September 7th. And they lost the extraneous "Book of Carol" subtitle

and lastly it was renewed for a 4th and final season that is currently filming.

Reedus and McBride and some of the producers are at Comic Con this weekend.

Re: The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (AMC)

There was no thread for season 3, so I use this one and not the newer Book of Carol, since the title of the thread fits all seasons. Watching the spin offs is kind of a chore for me, but Daryl and Negan were two of my favorite characters and since the ending of the mother series, wasn't really a finale, I feel obligated to follow the characters to the bitter end. I wasn't a big fan of season 1 and 2 although there were some cool elements and there is no difference in season 3.

My french isn't that good and while I do understand some parts of the dialogue I needed the subtitles, so I was relieved when they started season 3 in London. But by the 2nd episode they end up in Spain and I'm lost. In university I had one course of Spanish in one semester, so I don't understand 99% of the dialogue and I really hate subtitles. The smaller scale of the spanish setting actually helped, but there was nothing new. The villains weren't even that villainous.
