Just finished us season 2. As mentioned before it’s a lot better with no reality tv show stars.

I just finished the Traitors Us season two and I really liked it and the people that won. I've watched them on tv for over 20 years. I was surprised how good Peter was and I wouldn't mind seeing him on other competition reality shows if he can bring the ego down a bit. I loved Kate on season one and I was glad to see her back. Great cast this season and I'm looking forward to seeing season 3. I'm going to watch the other versions when I have time. I'm currently working on catching up on The Amazing Race and Survivor now.

I watch the first episode of the Australia Traitors and I'm not feeling this, too many players and don't like the host. Probably will bailed and just watch the next epsiode of Traitors UK season 2. Sandra is a hottie I admit.

All episodes of UK season 2 and Australia season 2 are up on Peacock now. Also first 2 episodes of New Zealand are there.
Did anyone else catch Phaedra showing up on Will Trent this week?

Yeah, I liked them. It's nice seeing the normal, everyday people playing the game, just for a bit of a change to the reality celeb version we have (I like both though). They seem to get much more emotionally involved in the game and take the deceit much harder. Probably in part due to the money meaning a lot more to them. The only annoying thing is that the US and UK seasons must have been filmed back-to-back because the missions/challenges are identical (both filmed at that same castle).
Oh, and I like the UK host much more than Alan Cumming.

Re: The Traitors - Peacock Original reality competition
Okay, thanks to E! they ran marathons of the Traitors US seasons this past weekend. Binged both though I quickly decided to skip 90% of the challenges. Barely made it through season one, that was a terrible cast with a mix of nobodies and a few reality all-stars. Gameplay was terrible and you could tell no one knew what they were doing inside this format. The show was practically DOA for me until...
I was about to give up on the show entirely but decided to give season two a whirl because I knew many of the reality all-stars like Dan from Big Brother and the Challenge/Survivor folks. Vastly better cast, vastly better season. Mostly thanks to Peter from the Bachelor's strategy, who bluffed the traitors and pulled off a stupendous move which gave the faithful a real fighting chance. Cost him in the end but up-ended the traitors' huge game advantage.
The real issue are the play dynamics give way too much power to the traitors and it's easier strategizing as a traitor when you control most eliminations. Season two was almost sidetracked by the so-called Bravo clique - the real housewives were basically a voting bloc and got very lucky one of their own was a traitor. Didn't help them in the end but only because the chosen traitors made terrible decisions down the stretch. You can tell there were two opposing forces - the players from "contest" shows like Survivor where lies are second nature and the Bravo reality shows where verbally trashing your castmates is the only thing they can do.

Thanks for the take on season one. I started with season two for the same reason you decided to give it a shot and enjoyed it same as you. But you have released me from feeling obligated to go back and watch season one, which I wasn't really expecting much from.
Also, I skip most of the challenges as well. They really have very little effect on the game and are generally just time wasters. And that's not just a Traitors thing, I do the same with for example Survivor (especially the rewards challenges).

A season three is coming. Supposedly the foreign Traitor seasons are stronger but they don't often have the celebrity angle.

Shit cast if you ask me... but we'll see if it leads to good TV.

The only people who I like at first blush in that cast are Boston Rob and Ciara from Summer House. They are really leaning into the Bravo housewives people and I don't think they are a good fit most of the time for a competitive game show like this.

Never heard of most of them. Is it hard to cast contestants people want to watch? I'm glad to see that at least Boston Rob is on the list.
21 is an odd (no pun intended) number of contestants.

Re: The Traitors - Peacock Original reality competition
Alan Cumming ought to stock up on spiffy berets, because The Traitors isn’t going anywhere.
Well ahead of its return for Season 3, the reality competition has been renewed for Seasons 4 and 5 at Peacock, TVLine has learned. Cumming will be back as host for both cycles.
The two-season pickup comes after The Traitors‘ sophomore run scored four Primetime Emmy nominations earlier this summer, including nods for directing, cinematography, hosting and Outstanding Reality Competition Program.
