Re: The Traitors - Peacock Original reality competition

Can Johnny and Tara not do anything without the other?

One of them better be a traitor.

That aside, I actually enjoy the foreign seasons where the players are randos. Makes it more intriguing.

I recently finished UK Series 2 and am going to start New Zealand Series 1 this weekend.

In the first roundtable (episode 2)…
Spoiler:
I can’t believe that they caught a Traitor! Lauren really didn’t do anything wrong, but she also didn’t do anything to defend herself… but it was too late.

Now the faithfuls are overconfident and that will come back to bite them in the end.

Re: The Traitors - Peacock Original reality competition

Finished New Zealand Series 1 yesterday. Great series.

That was the best and most unique final five challenge I’ve seen.

Now I think I’ll watch Australia Series 2.

My god I'm on episode six on The Traitors Australia season 2 and the faithfuls are just dumb. Keith and Sarah are the worst of them.

Yeah, I agree with you.
Spoiler:
Most of the faithfuls were “dum dums”, that’s for sure.

Camille was smart. She knew Sam would try to steal it… and I’m glad she did what she did. His “we did all the work you should have just given it to us” line was pathetic.

But, poor Blake. The bloke was ready to cry.

Re: The Traitors - Peacock Original reality competition

I do not want to read thru this thread because I do not want to be spoiled, but I am about 5 episodes into UK season one and I have seen more grown men cry in these few episodes than I think I have seen in the entirety of the rest of my life put together.

That's how it always is. I'm sure they film them back to back.

Re: The Traitors - Peacock Original reality competition

Just finished The Celebrity Traitors (UK)… wow, that was a fun ride. Seems like a different vibe when the prize goes to charity. They all seemed to enjoy themselves. I was only familiar with a handful of the cast, but they were (for the lack of a better term) brilliant.

Re: The Traitors - Peacock Original reality competition

Haven't watched any of that UK Traitors season, but I'll probably get to it at some point.

I did watch the first 3 episodes of the most recent US Traitors that were released on Peacock. I'm guessing it's ok not to spoiler-tag things (since they've aired and are readily available, at least in the US).

Interesting idea of a hidden traitor, not just to the tv viewers but the other traitors. I wonder what would've happened if the other traitors tried to kill them. Though the concept was kind of a bust here since they were banished so quickly.

At least with the first couple of challenges, I like that the faithful seem to have more agency in their ability to protect themselves from murder.

I didn't like seeing Rob C get murdered so quickly though I'm a regular follower of his podcast and was hoping he'd last longer (especially since I don't know who most of these reality tv "stars" are, outside of Survivor players). It felt like he just didn't have a chance, with his reputation as being so savvy about reality tv competitions. Despite there being more shields up for grabs so far, this game seems to have even more out of players control than others.

This couldn't have happened because the secret traitor created the "shortlist" of people for the other traitors to choose from. I really don't like when the traitors only have a limited number of options for a murder in general. I'd rather if they could kill off anyone except maybe a few people who have won shields.

Duh (on me). Of course the traitors couldn't kill the secret traitor. Although we saw the secret traitor put forth another traitor to kill. I haven't watched the UK version where they're doing this too. But I heard there that UK Traitors told the secret traitor who the other traitors were. I wonder why they changed it here?

I heard the suggestion of having the turret traitors make the short list, and the secret traitor pick the murder. It does make sense to have the larger group of traitors have more faithful to choose from.

Johnny Weir is failing miserably in his attempts to out-fabulous Alan Cumming’s outfits.

I love me some Ron, he's wonderful in Loot, that's where I know him from, he was getting hair implants, which is why his hair looks a lot different on Traitors than on Loot

To be fair, that's a nearly impossible standard

The murder banquet should be fun. I like that they're making the traitors have to do something directly to the victim this time (instead of a card tossed in the fire when no one's looking).

Even though I know they don't actually sleep at the castle, the scenes of them getting ready for bed still cracks me up. Johnny with a picture of Tara by his bedside

Re: The Traitors - Peacock Original reality competition

My wife read a recent interview with Alan Cumming where he said his favorite Traitors moment ever is in the next episode to be released (Episode 7, season 4). Can’t wait to see if I can spot what it is.
