I hadn’t thought of Conspiracy, but those creepy bugs and that guy’s head exploding certainly have stuck with me!
This season has been great. Makes you wonder what the first two seasons could have been.
It really does feel like a blend and continuation of TNG + DS9 plots. Really good stuff.
I feel like it would be a stretch if Jack were some sort of Changeling from the out. Beverly is the only one who “knows” she was pregnant. What if she was brainwashed and he’s some sort of plant from day 1?

I think there's something very "Manchurian Candidate" about Jack Crusher-Picard. The way he snapped into action to kill the changelings, much like he killed people in his fever dreams, made it seem like he had been trained for something. I hope the mystery of the red door and those red vines that he keeps hallucinating is worth all this setup. All we know is they want him alive, no matter the cost. He needs to be pretty damn important after all this.

Shaw is really like if Dr McCoy had been in the command track instead of engineering/command. That attitude of "yeah, I chose to be out here in space but could it be a smidge less weird please?"

This week's episode is called "The Bounty."
It would be just insane if one of the ships at the Fleet Museum that Geordi is in charge of is this... the "HMS Bounty."

Looking at this picture, it makes me wonder how big the contemporary Klingon Birds of Prey or the Romulan Warbirds were compared to the Enterprise or other Federation ships. You would think that ships designs should be remotely similar even among different empires. Our ships vs the Russians, Chines, etc. are drastically different compared to ships of different governments with similar technology on Star Trek. You really can't tell where the warp nacelles or equivellant are on the Romulan or Klingon ships.

A lot of nice callbacks to TOS, Voyager and even Star Trek IV. Nice to see the retired Enterprise from TOS crew and even the Klingon Birds of Prey with it's cloaking capability.
Good to see Geordi again and also nice to see Mica Burton as his 2nd TV daughter as well.
Was able to watch most of it before I had to call it a night. Will finish the rest tomorrow.
Wasn't really surprised that was the way they were going to revive Data.

That was wonderful. Best part was the musical cues when they were looking at the ships.
And I was right about the episode title.

I liked all the call backs to the TOS stories, but if this was a "fleet" museum, why would it have an enemy ship, that was never part of the fleet there. by Star Trek VI, they had peace with the Klingons. At some point, you would have thought that the Federation would have returned the bird of prey back to the Klingons.

Kind of creepy that Section 31 is hanging onto the bodies of James T. Kirk and Jean Luc Picard. If they were afraid they might fall into the wrong hands for some nefarious purpose I'd think it would be easier to just cremate them or vaporize them.
Wonder why Daystrom Station had so little security, considering all of the stuff they had there like the Genesis Device. And is it really a good idea to have it guarded by a malicious AI of Moriarty and Lore?
Geordi was kind of dick, but his reluctance to aid Picard's quest out of concern for his family was understandable. They've all moved on from where they were decades ago, and gotten new lives.
I guess this wast he first appearance or mention of the USS New Jersey. Kind of weird to see them use the old Constitution Class design rather than the revamped one from Discovery and Strange New Worlds.
This season is still much better than the two that came before it.
Lame prediction -- by the end of the series, JLP will die and Jack will get his golem body.

Kirk's body. It would make sense that they would have taken his body off the planet and give it to family members for burial, but keeping it in storage would seem creepy. It would make sense that Dr Seung could possibly preserve Picard's body. Hopefully they don't try and bring Kirk back in some golem form. I guess we will get Data back at the end of this and they now have an explanation why he looks older. Wondering if they've worked some version of Yar in this as well.

I figured it was just a scan of his body or bones.
Why would they have his body?
Picard left it on that planet in Generations.

That was awesome. Loved all the call backs. Worf and Riker back and forth was the best. Make a show for them together ASAP!

I totally missed the part with Kirk’s body. Weird that they would retrieve it from the place Picard buried him in Generations.
So Vadic is a Changeling? And was that really Deanna at the end? Vadic captured her?

He wasn't really buried though. Kirk's body was lying on the top of flat ground and Picard just covered it with large rocks. It seemed like that was just a temporary measure on Picard's part using what every resources he had available to give Kirk some dignity and not just leave his body visible to anybody that came by and to reduce any carrion birds to come for his corpse.

We previously saw Vadic cut off her hand--which then turned to goo--to use that communication device on her ship to talk with her boss. Then she reabsorbed it.

I didn’t care much for Voyager on its original run but the way it was shown on screen there along with the music (and Seven’s dialog) really struck a nostalgic chord
