The Frenchie things was the writers thinking "we need to give him something to do - who cares if it's out of nowhere".
Human centipede was them trying to outgross/outshock previous seasons.
I'm not seeing anything to indicate the "smartest person in the world" is actually all that smart. She's not dumb, but there's nothing extraordinary about her intelligence.
The Christmas show fiasco was embarrassing - especially all the deaths and injuries. Again, trying to outgross/outshock previous seasons - but came across like a dumb comedy that's making fun of itself.

And overall, Homelander could've killed Butcher, Hugh and all of the Boys 100x over through the course of this show. Why is he continuing to let them live?

Homelander is enjoying the game. That is why he continues to play with them.

Except he's tried to kill them in the past, so that's a cop out.
Obviously he can't kill them or there's no show, but they need a real reason why he hasn't/couldn't so it makes sense.

I don't think they have to do that. It won't change anything. If Homelander wants to change his mind, he's free to do so.

Yeah another over the top episode which Im sure many here will dislike, but I enjoyed it. Mindless, stupid, but incredibly fun to watch.

As someone else noted, Frenchie has been bicoded for a while now. You just didn't notice it. He's a drug addict as well. "The Other Girl" .. you mean Kimiko? One of the main characters for years and you don't know her name tells me something about how closely you watch the show. They can't be together, for many reasons, so he's looking somewhere else.

The show has always been satire about the right, if you're just now thinking they're bashing conservatives, you've missed the point for years. And if anything, Firecracker's schtick is not anywhere near as loony as half the shit that QAnon and other lunatics actually believe in real life. They deserve to be bashed.

not even near the same quality as the previous seasons imo. it's just rehashing stories, things we've seen (some we haven't), but all in all the quality of this show has dipped quite a bit and i think one more season is just right.

The whole subplot with Hughie's dad and his estranged mom really didn't add much to things, other than give A-Train a reason to break into Homelanders apartment and implicate Ashley in his heel turn, but they could have figured out a dozen ways to do that.

Could be the one he was video chatting with. I think she was in the first episode or two but she skipped town. I don't remember her name either, but they seemed to be at least sorta romantically linked

It's very probable. Negan's only been around Butcher and we haven't seen him interact with anyone.
Even at the end when Butcher states "we'll patch you up" when talking with Sameer and then looks up at Negan - Sameer then looks in that direction and seems to be scanning the area not sure who Negan is talking to/about. That trope needs to end.

Even Stan stated what I mentioned earlier in the thread - that he's amazed they've all managed to live this long. Reminds me of Boardwalk Empire when Eli asked Mickey: "Let me ask you something, Mickey. How the fuck are you still alive?".

They seem to be pointing in that direction.
