Not that it matters, since the show has long since gone its own way. And for the better IMO.

Although messy, this has been the best episode of the season for me. Sure the whole Vought Films phases BS went on for far too long (and the jokes therein were stale) but everything else was interesting.

Not going to bother reading through the thread to avoid spoilers because I am only on episode 3, but are they purposely making Ryan's voice like that? It is like an over exaggerated version of a kid going through puberty. It is annoying as fuck.

Yeah, it's weird. Someone here suggested perhaps the actor's real voice is now too deep so perhaps he's dubbed by a woman doing an impersonation of a child's voice.

I'd lean more towards it being digitally manipulated, but yeah annoying as fuck. And now that someone brought it up, I can't un-hear it

Glad someone mentioned it - I thought his voice sounded weird but just chalked it up to my hearing or something.

Also, I noticed that actress playing Starlight looks to have aged almost 10 years since the previous season. She had a cute softer face, but now it looks harsh as if she aged quickly or had some work done.
Wasn't sure if I was imagining it, but there are others on the internet that have noticed the same thing.

It looks like she lost a lot of weight - when it wasn't necessary. My son said he read that she had work done. If true, I just don't get it... she's a beautiful girl and now looks way too thin and "sharp".

Did you see the whole Megyn Kelly ordeal? It was a pretty big controversy back in the winter. While I do think Erin Moriarty had some work done (which she didn't need because she was gorgeous), a "news" person calling her out and making that big of a deal out of it like she did was really shitty imo.

I didn't see it. I avoid listening to that piece of shit, and I generally don't follow celebrity news. But yeah, calling her out in public is shitty.
Having work done rarely ever goes well, but having it done when you're very attractive doesn't make sense to me.

Re: The Boys (Amazon) - Season 4 Thread - premieres 6/13/24

The farm stuff was really stupid.

I haven't found the season, terrible, but definitely lesser than the previous seasons. I think someone pointed it out, earlier, but they appear to be going for the shock factor, and it feels very forced.

Regarding Ryan, I noticed the voice, as well, but as far as I recall, just in this episode. I'm just glad they chose a likeable actor. I could easily have seen them choosing an obnoxious kid.

The whole Vought as the entire engine of mass media and popular culture is really hamfisted and tiresome at this point. But then again, any company that could manufacture actual metahumans would effectively take over the world as well.

The look on Homelanderís face when he got squirted with milk was pretty great.

Sage turning into a dumbass always cracks me up That stuff with Hughie was... something. I figured Tek Knight would realize he didn't have a web hole right off the bat, since I'm assuming that's what he wanted to fuck. Speaking of which, RIP Tek Knight, I wish we would have gotten to see him in his suit.

I was a little surprised that Tek Knight had powers. Had they ever mentioned that before? In the comics he had never had V and just used technology to work as a supe.

This is the reason why some shows just need to end their run early. As much as I have loved this series, this season has been a bit of a letdown.

Re: The Boys (Amazon) - Season 4 Thread - premieres 6/13/24

Before every episode I wonder what's left they can do to gross us out. The whole BDSM thing was just stupid and went on for far too long.

The Negan thing was obvious and done to death.

Jewish space lasers? Body rejecting pregnancy for legitimate rape? I have nothing against making fun of the right for the constant stupid-ass shit that they spew, but come up with something original instead of taking quoting their exact garbage - even if it's hard to match their level of stupidity.

Maid in Manhattan Hamilton.

There were at best 10 worthwhile minutes in this awful episode, and that poor man's Fight Club reveal is nowhere near as clever I assume the writers think it was.

He was heavily implied to have powers when he appeared in Gen V.

I honestly couldn't remember who Tek Knight was. I'm assuming he was in previous episodes? I never watched Gen V.

Whenever I hear "Tek Knight", I think of this guy.

Well excuse if I just assume your taste for tv shows aligns with your taste for video games
