Re: Is binge watching the new normal?

I've found that I usually just watch one series at a time on streaming until I'm at least caught up to the most current episode, mainly because I don't want to forget where I left off when going back to it. There's been a few over the years that I started watching then sort of forgot about, if I ever go back to them it'll be difficult to figure out what the last episode I saw was.

I have different approaches. There are some shows I watch on a weekly basis, mainly shows I don't want to be spoiled, but also some where I'm just not patient enough. Then there are some shows, where I watch 2 episodes a week and others where I binge the whole season in 2 days.

Bingeing also works great for me because there are so many shows I want to watch that if I ping-ponged around I’d go nuts. I’d rather clear a show off my plate and move on to a new one. And if I hit a lull, I’ll binge something I’ve already seen but loved until the next new thing comes out.

And at this point I watch nothing on my TiVo. If the service wasn’t already paid for the year I would ditch it.

What I like about Netflix and Prime is the opportunity to watch the whole season. If I want to watch one episode I can do so, but it's my choice. I haven't watched one Disney+ show on a weekly basis. I've waited for all of them to finish there season.

Re: Is binge watching the new normal?

i think i likely the weekly basis thing. it's easier for me to catch up with the shows i only watch regularly and since they are short streaming shows, easier to finish and movie on.
like now, i have Wed-Fri for new shows, but not for long time.
Wed: Book of Boba Fett
Thur: Peacemaker and Raised By Wolves
Fri: The Legend of Vox Machina

since i know Reacher is whole season of 8 eps, i'm not in a rush to finish, but as long as i watch the above listed on the day and keep up i feel like i have at least accomplished something with all the shows on.

Make sure to spare your thoughts on the "Vox Machina" thread. It's kind of lonely in there.
