I’ll go the other way, BDH episodes have been the weakest ones … until now. I was stunned when I saw her name. Damn good job.

Did anybody else notice the person dancing in “the club” was doing the goofy dance from Knights of the Old Republic?

I wondered how they would make armoire for Grogu … Beskar chain mail!

I think she's been running circles around everyone else... by far the most consistent and confident direction. I'm curious at her level of involvement in these episodes...any writing or strictly direction, etc. She's 3 for 3 imo, she should get a series or film.

This felt less like an episode and more like a movie. There was a lot going on and it kept me engaged for all of it.

She should replace Patty Jenkins and direct Rogue Squadron.

I assume the opposite.

Filoni should do the episode with his baby Grogu and Rodriguez can close the season with the badass battle.

So, they seemed to highlight in dialogue at least once how Beskar stops lightsabers.
With Mando making something out of it for Grogu anyone else think that that gift is what protects him in the Jedi Temple massacre to come?

The massacre in ROTS? That was years ago. Anakin's assault on the Jedi Temple was 19 BBY and the Armorer makes Grogu's "gift" in about 9 ABY... or is there another massacre that I am forgetting?

Fixed.

I will say there was one thing that bothered me ... and this wasn't a director's decision:

Replacing the Razor's Crest with a small, one-man light fighter. I won't even lament that it was a callback to the prequels that was unnecessary; it is a very impractical ship for a bounty hunter. Though I am sure the reason will factor into a future episode when we see (prediction ahead)

Spoiler:
Grogu in the gutted astromech compartment
.

I did get a kick out of the joke about the Empire not even lasting 30 years.

Thought the same, how is he going to carry bounties?

But another great episode.

I get a feeling he isn't going to be a bounter hunter any more. I mean, dude has claim to Mandalor butttt does make for two passengers tough. I think there was a line of dialogue about having more space due to not using to astro-mech droid?

I would hope that he get's a bigger ride that he can plop the Naboo fighter onto (ala Ghost and Phantom in Star Wars: Rebels).

I also like how the Mando's are clearly short on numbers, but kicking people out for helmets

I agree an old N-1 is impractical for bounties, but they did mention Republic era ships like the N-1 and Razorcrest both don’t need to have registration or something like that, which they reinforced in the scene where he gets stopped by “the cops”.

But I think we can also see why they picked it - it has a cute Grogu-sized canopy where the droid port was. Let the merchandising begin!

But usually he prefers to bring them back alive if he has the choice. So yeah, odd replacement ship for a bounty hunter, unless he's planning on getting out of the game (which is seeming likelier).

This episode was tits!

Yes, she said she removed the astromech port because Din Djarin has a phobia of droids (which he seems to be getting over). It wasn't to make passenger or cargo space. Yet, she put a canopy over it anyway ... (see below).

I see it as having lived in a Winnebago, losing it, and then replacing it with a motorcycle. Just doesn't make sense.

It's like older cars not having all the computers that today's cars do. It isn't that they aren't required to have identification/transponders/etc., it's that it isn't "built in" so it is easier to get rid of. Like scraping serial numbers off.

Absolutely on the marketing. Remember those stick-on window porgs? Grogu here we come!

EDIT ... already there ...

She knows about Grogu so she's just planning ahead.

Also, for people of a certain age, doesn't she remind you somewhat of Ruth Buzzi? Would have fit right in on the Holiday Special too...
