Re: SNL General Discussion Thread
Michael Che was a staff writer for less than a year, then he quit to be on The Daily Show. He was at TDS for just a few months before SNL hired him back to be the WU anchor with Jost.

I don't think Longfellow would work out in WU. He's way too low-energy.
I'd like to see Ashley Padilla give it a go - as long as it doesn't stop her from being in more sketches. I think she has a lot of potential on SNL and for future shows/movies.

If they had to fill the spot and she had interest in it I would test Wickline on set alone and with others. She's got a really strong and unique personality that may really work (may not). I don't see anyone else currently on the show being a good fit.

I don't remember a sketch where Colin Quinn appeared in or if he had any recurring characters.
That was not my favorite era of SNL so probably forgot most of what happened.

Brian Doyle Murray, although in his tenure it as "SNL Newsbreak" and not WU. Don't know if he was a writer in those years though.

BDM was a writer in seasons 3- 7. He was a featured player in season 5 and then again in season 7. He started hosting the news segment in season 7.

I wonder if his plan is to stay on until he's either funny or he dies, whichever comes first.

Chloe had a incident talking to Demi Moore at a restaurant
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...183112431.html

Chloe Fineman's table for two came with a side of drama.
In a recent TikTok video, the Saturday Night Live star said she was scolded by a "rude" restaurant manager in New York while exchanging pleasantries with fellow patron Demi Moore and her beloved tiny dog Pilaf.
Recounting the incident alongside her sister Emma, Fineman said the two were having "the best day of our lives" before trying to find a place to eat and reluctantly settling on Sant Ambroeus, an Italian restaurant located in the "food desert known as Madison Avenue."
Fineman recalled a cordial server leading them to a table right away. "There's several empty tables and I sit down, and then I look up and it's Pilaf little mouse, the celebrity dog of Demi Moore," Fineman said. "And I see Demi Moore and I was like, 'Oh, hi!' We've met once or twice and I've held Pilaf because Pilaf was backstage at an SNL show."
"She fully said hi back also," Fineman's sister added, clarifying that it was not an intrusive interaction.
"The manager sees me," Fineman continued. "I don't know, maybe I had no makeup on — did I not look legitimate enough for this empty room of Sant Ambroeus? And the guy's like, 'What are you doing here! Ma'am, come, come with me.' And I guess I didn't realize you had to talk to another Italian guy to get a seat even though there's like a thousand empty tables. It was very confusing."
Alas, the situation did not improve. "I was like, 'Calm down. I'm not nobody. I'm on SNL.' He was like, 'I don't care who you are. I treat everybody the same,'" Fineman recalled. "And I was like, 'You're being rude,' and he's like, 'You're being rude!' Anyway I don't want to get into details, but lets just say a personality of mine started to come up that I don't love. I took myself out of the situation. You could call it a Karen [moment]. I also call it living in New York and everyone is rude as f---."

Kevin Bacon should host again.
The last time he did it was 1991.

I would rather see the show focus on younger hosts and MGs that I am unfamiliar with.

Re: SNL General Discussion Thread
Does anyone think they'll do anything special for the 50th anniversary in October? It would be good if they got as much of the surviving original cast members back and did a show with them included. Some of them probably won't make it to the 60th anniversary.

Re: SNL General Discussion Thread
I'm confused.
Didnt they just have a gigantic entire weekend 50th anniversary special and concert?
