Glad it will be on regular NBC and not a streamer.

How does that article not mention that Questlove is an Oscar-winning documentarian? I know "The Slap" overshadowed his win, but the dude still won an Oscar.

NBC will air the Aubrey Plaza Jan 2023 episode at 10pm.

The first time in a long time they aired a episode that was older than a week in that time slot.

And I just hope the west coast 10PM reruns go back to "classic" episodes and not merely rerunning last week's. One of the few things I think you and I agree on.

Re: SNL General Discussion Thread

I hope so but maybe those old shows were drawing minuscule ratings and numbers and they thought current episodes are better?

Re: SNL General Discussion Thread

They'd be better off showing a compilation of 49ers highlights and clips of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs rather than moldy reruns of shows from years ago.

With the new TBD broadcast/cable channel running classic reruns for several hours every day, NBC is unlikely to go back.

Maybe that was when he had the goofy hair on Weekend Update with Tina Fey and Tina had crazy hair in 2000.

Unless Directv is wrong the next new episode is Jan 18 or two days after my birthday.

Re: SNL General Discussion Thread

I wonder if Demi Moore or Jamie Lee Curtis might host in the future since they have the buzz with the Substance and The Last Showgirl.

Re: SNL General Discussion Thread

Apparently, Curtis has never acted in a live stage production, and despite her 40 year marriage to Christopher Guest, has never acted in one of his improvisational movies.

I don't think appearing on SNL is an experience that interests her, and she does not need the promotional opportunity.

She's one of those people who you would think would have appeared on the show at some point, but didn't. Especially to promote a Halloween movie or True Lies.

Also astounds me that Cheech & Chong never hosted SNL in the 70s.
