Just my opinion, but I'm pretty staunchly opposed to the idea. Please keep the Skywalkers out of The Mandalorian completely.

Out of curiousity, what makes you think there's some original storyline that didn't involve Grogu staying with Mando fairly long term?

I could not believe they blew up the Razor Crest!

i never gave a shit about Boba Fett one way or the other before, as I always thought he was over-rated, but he was awesome in this ep.

Why he didn’t go after his armor before when Cobb Vanth had it is one of many questions.

I did chuckle when Slave1 popped up on screen.

I love this show so much. I love that the people creating this show love the Star Wars universe. It shows in the production of the show. The attention to little Star Wars details is so amazing. There is a lot of fan service in the show, but the fans want it and they are getting it. We are exploring a new story in Star Wars while tying it into the universe we already know. I care so much about this show and its characters. It's wonderful. I feel like Kirsten Dunst in Interview with a Vampire, "I want some more."

Reports are that Baby Yoda cost $5 million to make. I’d assume that if they were going to spend that kind of money, they’d planned on keeping him around awhile.

I mean he was obviously always planned for the show. He’s been in it since the beginning. It’s not like they introduced him late last season as a side character and gave him a bigger role later on.

I think if there’s a good reason to bring him in it would be okay. I’m not sure if it’s necessary, but I’m open to the idea.

I'm ok if they wanted to recast Luke Skywalker for a cameo in this series. They already recast Obi Wan and Han Solo. It is a franchise for goodness sake. As long as it doesn't blow up the plots of the existing movies, I don't have an issue with it.

Other than that one photo comparing them, I don’t see the similarity between Stan and Hammill.

Re: The Mandalorian: Chapter 14: The Tragedy (S2E6) - 12/4/20

I've been a casual fan of this show, but wow, this episode was awesome! I think I did revert to my kid self when I saw Slave 1 appear, and when Boba came out with his armor! Such great scenes!
I thought it was hilarious when "Mando" kept calling out Grogu, how Mando kept laughing at how Grogu instanstly responded.
I just had one question: Grogu was using force choke. Isn't that typically a dark force thing?
Another funny thing, I thought, was when whatshisname said "Shackle him", I thought, they have baby sized shackles?

This was an amazing episode... Amazing. Seeing the Slave I for the first time in decades was incredible. My only gripe, after seeing Boba on the SW Marathons on TBS this weekend, that armor looked awfully small on our current iteration of him. Holy Cow, he's going to need some adjusters.

Hey, they have shackles that fit Wookiees too! Maybe it's one-size-fits-all?

The beauty of it is that millions of middle aged Star Wars fans watching the show can totally relate to that.

I think it also looked weird because he still had the Tatooine robe on underneath it. I bet in the next episode he goes back to they grey jumpsuit thing and it all looks a bit better.

Does Boba know that all the storm troopers are clones of Jango?

Yes, but the stormtroopers in this era are no longer clones.

Shows how thorough my SW knowledge is.

I was watching it thinking he was messing up clones of his dad without knowing it.

To be fair, Boba Fett accomplished more in this single episode than he did in the original and prequel trilogy put together.

Wouldn't this story take place about the same time Luke would be getting his new Jedi Academy started? It would make sense even though it would feel like cheating somehow.

Plus, then we can have endless arguments about the Knights of Renn killing Grogu.

I agree. I just am not sure if the show wants to lean back into the Skywalker’s again. I would love for a prime Jedi Knight Luke to be able to pop up on occasion. It can’t be any worse than the way the character was handled in the sequels.

Sebastian Stan would be a good replacement at least in terms of how he looks. Plus he’s already in the Disney family with Marvel Studios/MCU. Probably wouldn’t be that hard to work with him other than if there’s a scheduling challenge with his other Disney+ series.

Even if it's within the timeline, I would rather keep this separate from any of the main Skywalker stories. Sure Ahsoka had subtly mentioned Anakin's turn in her episode, but it was perfect, she didn't need to name drop Vader. Of course, she had to mention Yoda, but no more than that.

That's because Fett was jacked on Badger Milk.

I think Sebastian would be good, but I also see the comparisons are a bit different though. Both examples yuo state were playing Obi-Wan and Han at very different stages of their lives so you can say the character evolved from Ewan to Alec and from Alden to Harrison. It's a clean transition.

The Luke situation would have viewers go from Mark to Sebastian and back to Mark again. it's not the simple one-time baton handoff the other examples received.

And no, infant Luke in III doesn't count.

Just do like me and forget that the sequel trilogy ever existed. Problem solved!

Considering Mark was playing "Jake Skywalker" I really have no issues with Stan in the role.
