It does kind of feel like they are starting to MCU this thing. Bringing in somewhat know characters, and giving them a little story or backstory. Feeling like we are headed for a big team-up down the road.

That was a really short episode (27 or 28 minutes before credits) but it did feel longer.
Some awesome action sequences, especially with Boba Fett back in action.
It was cool seeing Fennec again. Not sure what was going on with the Cyboyg part of her, but if it keeps Ming-Na Wen in this world, I'm all for it.
That was pretty badass of Grogu using the force to exhaustion to beat the shit out of those Stormtroopers.
and again, what is the point of the Stormtrooper armor? Seems useless. Like it's cheap plastic.

I made some modifications to make it screen accurate:

Yeah, very pivotal episode, not just moving chess pieces around but taking out rooks and knights and leaving our characters in very difficult places.
And Grogu treating the troopers like rag dolls was terrifying and hilarious.
As for stormtrooper armor, it’s never been shown to be overly protective. It’s more about the dehumanizing appearance of shock troopers - both for the people they’re repressing and for the troops themselves.

Watching Boba Fett smash Stormtroopers with a gaderffii has got to to be a top ten Star Wars moment for me. That "armor" shatters real nice.

Dear God that was an amazing half hour of television. This is everything the Star Wars universe can be. Boba was the bad ass that the fans built him up to be, not the guy that gets punked in RoTJ.

I mean, in addition to being well written and produced, it is one big classic toy commercial.

Noooo, not the Razor Crest!
But it will be cool to maybe have Mando, Boba, and Fennec flying around in Slave I for a while. I'm really glad to have Ming-Na Wen back. Great action in this one. I hope they bring Rodriguez back for another ep next season.

Damn, that was good. That first shot of Slave I got me really excited and what followed didn't disappoint. Boba Fett pulverizing Stormtroopers with a gaffi stick, holy crap.
Yeah, they certainly have a Baron Karza look to them.
I don't know how good the live action Micronauts movie will end up being, but I bet it'll look damn pretty.

um, I’m going to go out on a limb and say it was the taking of Grogu.
What a fucking episode. What a fucking show. Can’t believe only 2 left. So fucking amazing. When we see Boba in that armor for the first time was incredible and that he kicked Empire ass, even though he was in bed with them for a bit was just nerdgasmic.
Favreau made a show that respects, pays homage to every Star Wars movie, animated series, etc. before it and created something new and exciting. Amazing concept, amazing execution.
As I said before, when all is said and done, this will be one of my favorite series’ of all time and not just because it is Star Wars and i love most everything Star Wars, but because it is a well made show done by brilliant people who know how to entertain to the highest degree possible.

This show is doing everything the sequel trilogy should have done - bring together OT, Prequel, Legends and the animated shows all into one. Unite the clans!

I just hope Grougu has the ball handle for the shifter.... that may be the tragedy if it was destroyed.
I pretty much lost my shit when I saw Slave I come on screen and this was an amazing episode. Ming Na does really well at the action stuff, never would have guessed that having seen her mainly on shows like ER. So cool seeing Boba Fette back in the armor as others have said this is really fan service but is done very well. Takes away a lot of the bad taste for the legacy destroyed by some of the last few movies.

I always thought the Razor's Crest was a little unimpressive looking. Hoping for a more badass looking ship in the future.
And before you go nuts on me, the Razor's Crest always reminded me of the tit ship from Battle Beyond the Stars.

I want him in a Gunstar!

Negative - I was pretty underwhelmed by Tython. I was expecting some LOTR style statues/ruins, etc, sweeping landscapes....and we got a common SoCal filming location. I appreciate the location shooting, but in this case... give me some CG backgrounds, and an otherworldly feel.(like Ep5)
Apparently this location shoot was photographed by onlookers when they filmed it last year, everyone wrote it off as a fan film, lol! I vaguely remember this, but I haven't searched for it yet.

I thought it was great. I fully expect Ahsoka to return at some point but I wonder if another Jedi might show up as well. I’m guessing Grogu ending up sending out some sort of “force message” while meditating on the rock.
I was not a huge fan of season one, it felt very video gamey to me but season 2 has blown me away. I’ve loved every episode to varying degrees this year. I thought the S2 premiere and last week’s episode were better than this but this was still a fantastic episode.
It’s cool seeing the various directors taking on the Star Wars universe. Who would have thought Carl Weathers, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Robert Rodriguez would bring us some of the best Star Wars ever?!

There’s been rumblings from some fans that want Sebastian Stan to play a ROTJ era Luke on the show. Part of me isn’t sure if we need more of the character, but I also would be fairly interested if it was just a small role. It may also in a way redeem the handling of the character in the sequels even though it would be different.

I fear that baby Yoda has become such a breakout star that they'll scrap whatever storyline they once had for Mando and the character and keep them together for as long as possible to the point of stretching it thin.
