Wiseguy had story arcs before that. Started in 1987.

DS9 took it from Babylon 5, which is without question the first American show that had a story arc beginning, middle and end. (You could say that Murder One had a one season version, years earlier, but B5 created the multi season arc on American television.)

I have never seen anything related to Star Wars but when I heard Baby Yoda was eating the precious, rare eggs of a desperate frog woman I signed up for Disney+ and sat my kids down specifically to watch those scenes and those scenes alone and afterward I sent them to bed with absolutely zero processing except to say, "I want you to think about that. Just think about it." This is the way.

This is one of those times I can't tell if people really are upset about it or is it just a couple of media sites that are citing one or two tweets and writing entire articles about fans outcrying for justice for the frog lady. I really have to commend the SFX crew because when she started hopping like a frog even though it looked kind of silly it was a really smooth and believable transition coming from a practical effect to a digital one. Kind of like how it's really difficult to tell when they use digital baby yoda and when they use puppet baby yoda. |

I've seen on Twitter that baby Yoda eating the eggs was very upsetting for women with fertility issues. They compared it to having their IVF treatment messed with!

OMG it's a space frog! There comes to be a point where if you see yourself as a space frog then that's on you not the creators. And I'm not saying that someone couldn't have gotten upset watching that scene. Those feelings are very real. But you can't possibly get mad at the creators for that.

So was Dr. Mandible a small Easter egg from the director of Ant-Man?
My 6 year old son didn’t give a shit about Baby Yoda eating the eggs but he was a bit disturbed by the ice spiders that attacked Mando and the gang this episode. It was a nice touch showing them all in different sizes as they chased everyone. Loved seeing the X-Wings making an appearance! Also a nice call back to last season’s prison episode. Since that was a stand-alone episode too, maybe the stand-alone episodes aren’t as stand-alone as they seem. |

Great episode. I got weirdly giddy when the X-Wings flew in. They are so iconic and are my favorite ships after the Falcon.
Loved the jet pack bit too  |
