That walk out by June with the hat and the music was so absurd. Made this seem like some cheesy TV show.

The nuke angle was cool. Liked it. Will be interesting to see where this goes from here.

The current season takes place between seasons 8 and 9 of The Walking Dead -- after Morgan left Alexandria, but before Rick's "death" on the bridge.
Season six of FTWD ends about six months before the helicopter takes Rick away.
So we might get the flipside of that story in season seven.

I just finished the last 2 episodes of the season on AMC+
I don't know if you're aware, if you watch it on AMC +, there is a 3-4 minute extra right after the episode airs that explains the episode and the production behind it. One or both of the showrunners talks on it. It's a very informative extra.
Good finale and I enjoyed season 6. The Nukes going off was cool killing some folks including Dakota basically re-sets everything for season 7. I didn't believe for a second that Morgan and Grace were going to commit double suicide. I would have been shocked if that happened. I guess Rachel committing suicide after her leg broke and using Rufus to bring her kid back to safety comes full circle for Morgan since he was saved by her and her husband earlier in the season.
John Glover was an interesting villain this season. But, he was more of a nutjob than an actual real threat.
I read that Colman Domingo (Strand) took a job as a drama professor at USC for Fall. I wonder if that will limit his involvement in season 7.

I finished the last four episodes and I have to say, I'm suprised how much I liked the 2nd part of the season, especially after the killed of John. Adding John, Sr. wasn't that creative, but very much pragmatic to fill the void and Keith Carradine is a pretty cool actor. John Glover as villain was a good choice, too. Him being a charismatic nut job, instead of the next uber post apocalyptic dictator, was a different take on the big bad.
Using the nukes to create a new setup for season 7, was a good decision as well.
One thing that didn't work for me was the comeback of Cole. I just couldn't remember the character, even after reading up on him and the storylines he was involved in, I just couldn't remember the dude, so there was no big surprise, when he and his group showed up. The way they discarded of them was pretty lame. The basically had them wait for the zombies until they were to close to shoot.

I guess it was the time to catch up with Fear because I just finished it up today as well. Not too bad. Glover made an interesting addition, but I'm happy with a bit of a reset.
Since we're clear on timeline, can someone clarify geography? Where are they? How large of an area is now radioactive? Shouldn't we have seen some fallout (pun partially intended) from this on the main show?
It will be interesting to see how the show will be moving forward. It should be much different.

They are in Texas if I'm not mistaken.
The show is filmed in Austin.

Yeah they are in Texas. No way there would be fallout from this on the other show.

I just figure if a bunch of nukes are sent out with points unknown, you'd think the main show would have at least run into survivors who fled and are suffering from the after effects.

I never followed WD enough to know exactly where they were but think it is supposed to be set in Virginia. Having send that, with the breakdown of society, not unrealistic to think people aren't exactly making cross country trips.
