If you're a LivePD viewer, they've been off for a planned break, but return tonight and tomorrow for special coronavirus episodes. They are shorter episodes than normal. If you normally DVR the show, it doesn't look like these will get picked up. You'll have to set a new series recording for Live PD Special Edition.

The only things that could possibly stay in production would be animation, because that can probably all be done via computer and wouldn't need anyone to leave their homes. Actors could record their voices at home, the animators could work from home, etc.
You would think animation work could keep getting made but Funimation has suspended all voiceover work at the moment. It's already thrown the Cartoon Network schedule for a complete loop as they have nearly run out of dubbed My Hero Academia episodes to air.

I was just thinking about this last night. I wish they would go and re-edit the episodes so they're 2 hours each. I love that show.

The CBS show All Rise will resume production for 1 more episode. But, it will be done virtually through Facetime, Zoom, WebEx. It's going to be inspired by current events.

Sad.

I bet CBS/studios etc are forced to pay people because of this, and now forcing them to work just to produce a random episode of a low rated Freshman show.

Soaps.

Theres only four of them now but they should be coming up to the end of their buffer next month.

Days of our Lives has a buffer that should take it into the fall.
GH will be airing old eps on Fridays to make what they have last a little longer.

I have a colleague who works on Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and I believe she said they are about 90 days ahead. They shoot 2-3 shows per day 5 days per week.

That sounds terrible. They aren’t using Zoom are they? I’m sick of every show thinking they can pull this off.

The Zoom stuff looks like shit on TV. I bet The Voice will also have to resort to it.

Survivor even said they are doing a remote reunion show.

I'll be so happy when "social distancing" is over because everything on tv looks like a fucking youtube video.

I'm sick of fucking hearing about Zoom. It's like everyone under the fucking sun has stock in the company or something. We can hang out with grandma on Zoom! We can have a family get together on Zoom! Birthday party during the lockdown? Zoom! You would thing Bezos or Zuckerberg owned it or something.

Fuck off with that shit. So freaking tiring.

Re: Coronavirus news -- TV edition

So I'm watching "Ink Master" and it's the episode leading to the finale. Three artists are chosen and given two 25-hour tattoos to complete over a period and a six-hour tattoo at the finale. Then at the close of the episode we are told in voice-over that there won't be a finale and the three artists have been awarded a "cash prize" (no details), though, of course, they don't get "the title". We are told that we can check out their finale tattoos on youtube tomorrow night. I guess it shouldn't have been a surprise, but I was surprised.

Yeah it was funny because they had the huge build up... You're going to have to do all these tattoos in all these styles and it's going to be the bestest ever crazy finale!!
(VO: Um.. yeah. Due to the virus we couldn't film any of that or have the finale.. so.... yeah. Anyhow photos will be on the website tomorrow. Thanks for watching!!)

Not sure why they couldn't have the judges look at the work over Zoom (that was for your Michael Corvin) or something and just have them crown a winner. Oh well.. i was rooting for Jimmy Snaz. Only because I like saying Jimmy Snaz.

They put together a 30-minute video on you.tube with the three finalists showing their work to each other via Zoom or something. Really nice stuff, and their back pieces were remarkably similar. It would have been a tough call. On the plus side, I suppose, it got around them discussing the Oliver Peck situation.

According to TV Line, "Yellowstone" completed filming Season 3, but "Animal Kingdom" only completed half their episodes for their upcoming season before being shut down.

The big difference to me (besides the audio cut outs) is the lack of makeup, or maybe I should say the fact that most don't have full makeup artists at home so some look almost completely different. This is especially evident on the local News shows. Speaking of which, I wonder why some anchors get to work from home and others still have to come into the studio, if it's office politics/seniority or some other circumstance.
