Re: Coronavirus news -- TV edition
I wonder if this lasts for the entire year when there will be a point will be reached where there are no new TV Shows since they shut down production.
Now I am glad This is Us had only 18 episodes and you can watch it through completion.

Re: Coronavirus news -- TV edition
Anyone else finding their dvr building up with shows, and no real desire to watch? I can’t focus on fiction very well now, it just feels like trivial bullshit. I know this is probably me still trying to come to grips with this new chaos, hopefully I’ll start to feel more normal soon.
I purposely avoided channels/websites like cnn, fox, bbc, dw, nytimes, etc .... and end up seeing the covid19 news peripherally on "garbage" news websites like variety, deadline, hollywoodreporter, io9, etc ....
In spite of this news avoidance, I also find that I have no desire to watch any of my backlog on the dvr nor my dvds/blurays.
So far I have not been able to find anything to distract myself at home. Netsurfing, reading books/comics, playing video games, etc ... just isn't cutting it for me.

I've been encountering the worst of both scenarios which tom banjo and djariya have alluded to.

I just wish I could get near a TV to watch anything that I would like to watch.

Maher's show wasn't TOO bad since he had the crew in the back as an "audience" (although laughing at jokes you wrote seemed kind of odd).
John Oliver on the other hand REALLY felt off, as he was telling jokes with no reaction to them. I never appreciated how much a show like that needs an audience until this past weekend.

Re: Coronavirus news -- TV edition
This is a good thread on Spoiler TV that covers the shows which are affected by the Covid-19 shutdown:
https://www.spoilertv.com/2020/03/li...yedhalted.html
Here are the shows which will air their complete episode orders:
Most of these shows had short episode orders or were filmed well in advance like Agents of Shield
9-1-1, Agents Of SHIELD., A Million Little Things, Better Call Saul, Better Things,black-ish, Blindspot, brooklyn Nine-nine, The Conners, The Good Doctor, Hawaii Five-0, Helstrom, Homeland, How To Get Away With Murder,The 100, Killing Eve, Legends Of Tomorrow, Magnum P.I., Manifest, The Masked Singer, Modern Family, Outlander, The Rookie, Roswell, New Mexico, Schitt’s Creek, Single Parents, Station 19, Stumptown, Survivor, This Is Us, Westworld, Will & Grace, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.
See the link for the rest of the known episode numbers. Most of the shows will run anywhere from 1-4 episodes short of completing their orders unless they resume production. Supernatural needs to film 2 more episodes and they are done for good. They cannot sit until next season.

Fallon is doing shows at home for the first 12 or 15 minutes mixed in with repeat interviews from past episodes.
Maybe he can put his daughters on the show when it returns.

Star Trek Discovery season 3 may be delayed. Apparently the season is wrapped, but they are still working on post production. The editors and visual effects artists are working from home.

Re: Coronavirus news -- TV edition
On tonight's episode of The Resident, they actually mentioned "the coronavirus". There was a disclaimer before the episode how it was written before current events.
They previewed the next episode as being the season finale. I'm pretty sure they were not able to finish shooting the season, so it seems it is getting cut short. Hopefully, it comes back next season to finish anything planned for this season.

NBC has pulled a flu pandemic episode of New Amsterdam that was supposed to air on April 7th. Will air at a later date.
Daniel Dae Kim, who caught Covid-19 was on the episode.

Another set of coincidentally timed episodes, both "mixed-ish" and "black-ish" last night were all about people getting the flu shot and how a lot of people have reasons why they don't want to get the flu shot. mixed-ish had one person sick with the flu.
