Why did I immediately think of this?

2) Have there been any moves to fire Kennedy from Lucsafilm? I think we need someone like Favreau in charge.
Didn’t a couple Ewoks drive one with some help from Chewbacca? How hard could it be?

Agree with everyone, what an awesome season finale and what a great season

This show, the Boys and the Witcher were the 3 stand out new shows for me in 2019

This episode had everything

More cute baby yoday
Mando getting the backpack
gatekeeper kicking ass Dan Inosanto style
Tie Fighter
Stormtropper banter
Heaps of stormtroppers getting trashed
IG going out in a blaze of glory (his scene entering the town on the speedrider taking out stormtroppers on the way was bad ass)

Bring on Season 2 and clone Faveau so he an oversee absolutely every single Disney star wars/fantasy/MCU project

Really? The show sure seemed to be suggesting it. And it sure looked like him. It was the right color scheme and the antenna thing matched.

Fett would’ve been a child/teen himself around that time.

Mandalorian is 5-7 years after ROTJ.

Our hero The Mandalorian appears to be about 30.

We last saw young Boba in Episode 2.

And that flashback took place during the Clone Wars. Boba would be at most two years older than when we last saw him in the films.

Pascal is 44.

It wasn't him. Boba would have been a child at the time. FWIW, this recap touches on the subject:

7. Blue Mandalorians

Obviously, this isn't a bunch of blue Boba Fetts running around, saving Din from Separatist droids--because Boba was a child at that time too. So why do all these Mandalorians wear the same colors? As we've mentioned in other Easter egg pieces, armor color is very important to Mandalorians. It signifies something about that. Because these Mandos seem to be wearing blue, that means they are reliable. You probably need reliable soldiers when facing battle droids.

No.

All of the Mandalorians in the flashback were wearing the same aqua/teal colored armor. It seems to have been the standard issue for that army/unit/clan/rank/whatever.

Boba Fett wore more of a powder blue/grey.

Well, maybe it was Bobba Fett, but it wasn’t Boba Fett.

Has it been officially stated when The Mandalorian takes place? I thought I heard it was 25 years after RotJ.

Re: The Mandalorian: Chapter 8: Redemption (S1E8) - 12/27/19

Does the fact that this series is now saying you don't have to be from Mandalore to be a Mandalorian conflict with "canon" we got in either The Clone Wars or Rebels? I thought Rebels pretty much established Mandalorians were almost exclusively from that planet. The last couple of episodes seemed to imply that many Mandalorians are not actually from Mandalore.

I don't think they need to be exclusively form Mandalore. The planet Concord Dawn is within the Mandalore system, was protected by Mandalorians and was the birthplace of some of their ranks. I think Concord Dawn played heavily into Rebels too.

I thought it was the crew from Death Watch that rescued him.

Since time is relative, 5 years in the star wars universe doesn't necessarily mean the equivalent of 5 earth years. We have no idea how they set their clocks or measure time. 5 years in that universe could possibly be close to something like 25 years for us. Tho for the story's sake, its likely 5 earth length years.

The rocket packs were all wrong. A couple of Mandalorians have had similar antennas too. And the colors were different.

Re: The Mandalorian: Chapter 8: Redemption (S1E8) - 12/27/19

Finally caught up with the final two episodes. So great, much better than many of the earlier episodes. This one especially was fantastic and blows TRoS out of the water. It just kept giving and giving. Loved the trooper exchange so much - - took me right back to Happy Endings.

Now I am really anticipating Season 2.
BTW : As a stocking stuffer my wife bought me this for our tree

My son and grandson started watching Mandalorian this week, and now my grandson wants to be a Mando. *sniff*. Grandpa is so proud....
