I won't complain about run-times if the content is quality... but I really want to settle in, make some popcorn and enjoy a nice hour-long episode of this show - ala Jack Ryan or GoT. 22 minutes is sitcom short.

The rate they are going Episode 8 will just be a commercial and 9 will be just the opening credits.
I do not mind shorter episodes, but 20-32 minutes is a little on the light side.

I don't think expecting 44'ish minutes for an episode of a drama series is asking too much. Especially when the season is only 8 episodes long. And hopefully it's not a year before season 2 comes out.

I would imagine it’ll probably be at least a year give or take between seasons. Curious when the Obi-Wan and Cassian shows are set to debut. I believe the Obi-Wan show is set to shoot in 2020, so I’m guessing late 2020 at earliest but more likely 2021.

seriously, who gives a fuck about runtime and why are we still talking about i? if it tells a good story in whatever time and you like it and are hooked then that is all that matters. Pixar has shorts that tell full stories that sometimes make you think and are quite delightful at under 10 minutes. we are getting a new story SW of something we haven't seen before. 4.5 hours all together or whatever it is we'll deal and live and love the show, no matter how long each ep is....

The end battle was a fan boy wet dream! I think the show needs to change its name to The Mandolorian and Baby Yoda show.
Bring on Episode 4!

Pixar shorts are apples and oranges --- there is an overall arc to The Mandalorian. If dude is just chasing down a bounty of the week and we don't care who he is, fine. But clearly they've invested in some pretty big name actors and introduced this baby Yoda to do something more grand. I want to know what drives the Mandalorian and his crew; AND I want his story to move forward... Deep diving Forky is not something anybody gives two fucks about.
