Geesh. Guess I’m getting old if original bay watch people are passing away. As for a reboot or whatever, dunno if there is a clamoring for such a thing but someone will try it. Interesting to find a Baywatch thread though. Pretty cool.

I watched the original show for the deep plots and character development. Like I’m sure you all did.

Re: The One and Only BAYWATCH Discussion Thread

I watched the new Baywatch documentary “After Baywatch” on Hulu over the last few nights. It’s 4 parts and was filmed before Michael Newman’s death. He was interviewed in the series.

First of all, it wasn’t a bash Baywatch show. The vast majority of the key players including David Hasselhoff and the creative team were interviewed. It was all of them reflecting on their experiences on the show both good and bad. They did not touch Baywatch Hawaii much and of course Jason Momoa did not participate.

The person who seemed to have it really rough post Baywatch was Jeremy Jackson (Hobie). He became a hardcore drug addict and barely got his act together. He mentioned he did have a crush on Nicole Eggert even though she was 9 years older than him.

Michael Bergin, who played JD in the later seasons, was an underwear model before getting hired. Now he left acting and is in real estate.

It seems like all those who did participate had both good and bad experiences while on the show. This series was a good epilogue to the main show. And if you’re curious they never touched Baywatch Nights.

Get in line, Hobie. I think every guy on the planet had a crush on Nicole Eggert when she was on Baywatch.

I always found it intersting how the show was designed and startet out in the pilot and how it evolved. At first it was a serious action drama like every other first responder show, of course Erika Eleniak was hot as hell, but most of the cast were serious actors. Alexandra Paul was the last actress added to the cast. After that they only hired hot people, most of whom could not act to save their lives.
Donna D'Errico, Gena Lee Nolin, Traci Bingham, David Chokachi, Jose Solano, Angelica Bridges...
