There is no way they kill Darryl, as they will lose a good chunk of the female audience. I think after the Glen death, every major character is safe for the foreseeable future as we are in the cycle of them killing off secondary characters for the next year or two.

Tara should have killed that guy then shot Jesus. What a friggin liability he's become.
So, they seem pretty good at popping walkers in the head from a distance yet with machine guns they hit no one and waste all that ammo.
We better see Gracie turn to a walker or crawler. Come on Nicotero, get back to your FX skills. Baby zombie!

Yea, Darryl would have been a nice surprise instead of Glenn but now they won;t risk losing more "mainstream" fans. Interesting enough, both Norman and Andrew L. resigned this past summer for over 500K an episode. Those two are the major $$$ on that cast.

It was a really stupid part of the episode. They slink down alleyways shooting every single person they come across and then they get to that guy and oh he has no weapon and he's surrendering so OK let's cut him a break.. oops OK now he has a weapon but he's still OK because now, suddenly, shooting him is "not what we do" although it was what we did a few minutes ago.

Every season they ruin a character by making them anti-killing.
Jesus now, last year was Carol, the year before it was Morgan, and before that Tyreese.
Who is it gonna be next season?

Jesus wasn't anti-killing in general. He's anti-killing unarmed enemies who are surrendering. Presumably this war will be over one day and they might want to have more people around they can work with. They don't want to necessarily get a reputation for being vicious, merciless killers or they could wind up in the same situation Negan's in right now.

Never thought much about this before, but do all the people on this show hate wearing any clothing that has much color to it? It seems all the characters only were hunter green, black, white, and gray. No blue, yellow, red, etc.
You would think clothes would get somewhat hard to find unless you raid a clothing store (which would have more colorful clothes). So one couldn.t be very choosy with the colors of what they wear. Even all the zombies that you see walking around all were the muted colors. It's like they are in a world where only 14th century colors for clothes are available. I guess they are doing it for visual effect, but it seems unrealistic even for a show with zombies.

No, he quoted the Quron. Political correctness, which this show bleeds, dictates he has to be one of the good guys.
Sorry if that's offensive. I don't mean it to be. It's not a comment about people or their religion; it's a comment about television.

Look at this regarding the rabbit most of us didn't even think about .... AMC

"We're gonna turn out two toys for kids, this year," Sanders said. "The Gremblygunk and the bunny, so when you go to store and you want to buy something from The Walking Dead, based on some people we know who have tried to buy their family's children things, that it's not gonna be a monster or a bloody thing or something you beat somebody with. It's gonna be a toy."

I figured an action figure Negan with a Lucile bashing button would make a great holiday gift for the kiddies.. Certainly worthy of an ornament on the tree at least.

I totally understand his not wanting to shoot the man when he claimed to be unarmed and a prisoner of the Saviors. I do get that dilemma. But when he pulls a weapon and is holding one of your guys hostage, the question has been answered in my book.
I said it before, if he didn't want to kill people, Paul shouldn't have gone on the raid. He could have stayed back to guard Alexandria, freeing Coral up to go with them. Carl is useful.

Re: The Walking Dead (S8E02) -- "The Damned" -- 10/29/17
It comes down to the writers not having enough skill and imagination to create some new internal or external conflicts with the character. So they'll just re-use the same old conflicts.
As already stated, it seems like every season a character suddenly wants to be a pacifist - and then comes out of it because they realize it's about survival, self-defense and the bigger picture. And there's always a character that takes a stand on when it's right to kill and when it isn't - even though they've contradicted themselves plenty of times before that.
The writers are trying to elevate the show by being more than just an action-packed gore-fest with the use of these social/moral commentaries, but are just failing miserably at it - resulting in a show that doesn't satisfy on any level.
