If S8 is the same level of quality (shit) as S7 was, I'll have to just bail on it. I was willing to stick it out to the end if it went another 3-4 seasons, but indefinitely? Can't do it unless reviews and the general viewer sentiment is they've returned to form.
And of course this was one of the two shows left I broke by disc buying rule with, the other being Game of Thrones.
Lost taught me to never by seasons as they come out until you see the end of the series. Looks like TWD is going to reinforce that lesson.

Dexter was an amazing show for a number of seasons. Its the first series I really enjoyed and then failed to watch at all ever again. I skipped the final season or two and will likely never watch the finale. I think the Walking Dead may be joining this club if things don't improve dramatically soon.
The show has a shelf life and if AMC thinks it can ride this into the sunset I think they are sadly mistaken.

The show doesn’t even have the buzz anymore where you feel the need to watch it cause it’s water cooler talk at work. Every Monday was either TWD of GOT day where we’d all talk about the Sunday night episode. Nobody is talking TWD anymore at my work as it hasn’t been the same since Negan killed Glen, IMO.

One of the podcasts I listen to pointed out something that I noticed, but it didn’t register. Rick killed the guy in the nursery, and then left the baby there to be eaten by the guy when he re-animates. Damn.

Ah crap, are we sure about that though? I think the scene cut from him discovering the baby to him out of that area. So he could have and they just didn't show it. That guy was the baby's dad.

Was that the buy he impaled on the thing sticking out of the wall? If so, wouldn't the guy end up being stuck there?

Isnt it normal practice for them to make sure that people don't come back? IE if Rick has to kill a living person, doesn't he stab them in the head so they wont have to deal with them later as a walker? Or does that make too much sense for this show now?

I agree as if there was an endgame to TWD (2-3 more seasons), I’d stick it out because I’ve gotten this far. But if this goes in for another season or two and the shows continues it’s mediocrity with no end in sight, then I will simply lose interest. There’s no way I’ll be around for Season 12 if it’s shit.

The bullet was a big deal because the Saviors had confiscated all their ammo along with their guns. Rosita took a gun off a Savior walker, but the gun was empty when she got it. That's why she needed a bullet.
The world didn't have a shortage of ammunition, but Alexandria did.

Eugene scouted for the place to make bullets at a time they had barely even learned of the Saviors.
But now they carelessly (and uselessly) expend ammo like they are playing Call of Duty. Whatever.

Depends on the script that week ... what’s convenient for the writers?

The funny thing about the scene where Rick kills the guy using the shelf bracket/spike is the continuity errors and revealing mistakes.
The middle bracket falls to the floor with the shelf when they back into it - but no holes are showing from where the bracket would've been screwed in... obviously fake. The middle bracket then re-appears. And when Rick impales the guy into it, it's suddenly lower than the other 2 brackets.

I'm hoping we find out next week. Maybe it will play into the humanization of the saviors and the return of that one mexican dude. Although with how inconsistent the writing has been it might just be a giant loose thread that's never addressed.

Alexandria, Hilltop, The Kindom, Junkyard... we've seen the Saviors interact with at least 4 communities. Then there is at least one other community (the all-girls community) we've come across that speak of them. Basically, everyone in the general area knew of them except Rick and his crew (new to the area) and the Alexandrians (they were pretty secluded and self-sufficient inside their walls and hadn't been bothered yet).

The Saviours were, before Alexandria started going after them, only running their extortion racket on Hilltop and The Kingdom, and they already had their massive organization in place with what appear to be multiple outposts and hundreds of members. They wiped out the community that became Oceanside, and the Garbage Pail Kids didn't seem to be on their radar.
