I'll give you a hint: "J" is Jon Snow.

Jon Snow

Spoiler:
is the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna... hence he is a Targaryan... and actually in line for the throne.

I must have missed the part where they said who Jon Snow's father is. What is the deal with math equation though? Is there some deeper meaning? Shouldn't people just say "JS is son of LS and RT"?

Did they show Jon Snow's father in this episode or any previous ones?

It's an abbreviation, people aren't going to write out the whole sentence every time to reference it.

But as for that, even though Jon does have that lineage, who else aside from Bran knows the information (and is alive)? And how could other people be made to believe it? Unless Bran takes them to time warp and see for themselves.

It's hard to remember all the times it's been touched on over 6 seasons, especially for people that haven't read the books like myself, but this goes over all the clips that give the backstory and hinted at it.

Spoiler:
I still don't see him being in line. He's a bastard, unless they were married, right?

So does that make Jon Snow
Spoiler:
the nephew of Dany?
Sorry, I still don't understand all the lineages.

He could demonstrate some unburnt-ness, as Daenerys is oft fond of doing.

I want Lady Mormont to win the Iron Throne by challenging all the lords of Westeros to rap battles.

Best season finale since Fire and Blood. Not a lot of surprises to be honest but an impressive amount of material covered and handled well overall. The first sequence in King's Landing reminded me of The Godfather at times. Lots of nods to book material as well. It feels good to say we can finally put the 20-year long Jon theory to rest once and for all.

That was possibly the best hour of tv I've seen. Truly fucking epic. And I'd pay money just for this episode's score.

One caveat: I read a lot of rumors going into this season, and most came true, with one exception. Lady Stoneheart. I guess I should finally hang up my hopes that'll eventually happen.

Also, did I miss the explanation for how Uncle Benjen is undead but still a good guy?

Jon Snow aside, it's interesting how the leadership of the 7 kingdoms is gradually turning into a matriarchal one.

With the amount of incest in this series... an aunt and nephew hooking up is no concern at all...

Gendry is the last one with legitimate Robert Baratheon blood.

Yes. I also believe
Spoiler:
that would make him the primary Targaryen heir to the Iron Throne, ahead of Dany as he would be the only son of Dany's older brother. Not cetain about that though, since the Lyanna/Rhaegar relationship is still considered "complicated" and might affect that.

Maybe Dany's fleet of ships will run into him still rowing his boat.

So what are the odds that the dragon army runs into euron and his fleet of ships at sea?

Jaime is not even in the line of succession AFAIK. It is still a Baratheon royal house, not a Lannister royal house. He is suspicious because he came home and his last child is dead and Cersei is a regent again. Even though that we, as the viewers, know that he jumped out of the window, it is a pretty suspicious death to someone who didn't witness it.

Yeah, I think this is the straw that broke the camel's back as far as the Jaime/Cersei relationship goes. I think he'll eventually find out what happened.

Whoever made the "Godfather" mention was totally right, I was thinking the same thing too about the beginning. Wow, IMO it was the best season finale the show has ever done. Season 1 is a close second for me. Miguel Sapochnik has to direct the last few episodes of these final seasons. He has knocked pretty much every episode he has done out of the park. That Davos scene destroyed me too when he was talking about Shireen. Bravo, i'm going to watch this again pretty soon.

So who is still alive from Arya's kill list? (aside from the Hound, who she refused to kill): The Mountain, Cersei, anyone else that is still around? If nothing else, it looks like we know where Arya is heading next season.
