And I think she is one of the few girls I've seen that actually looks better with the pixie cut.

I guess it distracts from the bulldog faces that they all have. You guys are reaching big time.

Melisandre needs kingsblood to kill kings. I think to resurrect someone, Thoros just recited a chant. I don't think Melisandre needs to kill Shireen to save Jon if that is the case. Even killing Shireen at Winterfall makes little sense since the Boltons are not kings. She probably wanted to have sex with Jon that time to create another shadow baby.

My theory is that Jon and Daenerys will finally meet and defeat the white walkers together with the dragons and their riders i.e. Bran controlling Drogon, Tyrion on one and Stannis on the third. Fire and Ice.

Re: Game of Thrones (S5E07) -- "The Gift" -- 5/24/15

Hopefully this week's episode made things clearer for everyone who was wondering last week why Tommen didn't just order the High Sparrow not to arrest Margery.

Also, did anyone else catch Myrcella mentioning that she's been in Dorne for years? I know the actress is 3-4 years older than when she was sent there, but has it really been years within the show since the events of Season 2?

One season is roughly one year, so yeah, Myrcella has been in Dorne for years.

Re: Game of Thrones (S5E07) -- "The Gift" -- 5/24/15

I'm trying to figure out why was this episode called "The Gift" ?

I know from DVD/BD extras that the area of land just south of the Wall is called "The Gift" because it's intended for the Night's Watch to use for food and such, but this episode didn't deal with that at all. So what else fits?

- Jorah called Tyrion a gift for Dany, so there's that.

- The Sand Snake giving Bronn the antidote could be a "gift" to cure him of the other gift of the poison in the previous episode.

- Gilly having sex with Sam was basically a gift.

- Littlefinger's info for Olenna to fight Cersei was a gift.

Anything else?

I'm pretty sure "the gift" was the little show that the Sand Snake girl put on for Bronn (and the viewers). Hopefully, it's a gift that keeps on giving...

Yeah, attributing the title to any of those other things seems like a stretch.

Although i'm partial to the Sand Snake boob explanation

Maybe it's Gilly giving it up to Samwell?

Haven't they said before that they often like to pick a title that has multiple meanings within the episode?

I think they're sort of moving the show in real time, eg, each season is approximately spread out over the course of one year or more. Considering all of the children and adolescents in the cast, it's a wise move since they're going to visibly age from season to season.

Sam gave Jon the dragonglass dagger. That's another gift.

The thing is, from episode to episode, and even from season to season, there don't seem to be a lot of places where you could insert a "six months later" title card.

I guess it's part and parcel of the way characters just sort of get to where they need to be without regard for how long the travel takes (e.g., Littlefinger's trip from Winterfell to King's Landing the other week).

Really enjoying the season as the payoff are the multiple characters meeting up for the first time in the show that we have got to know for 5 seasons now.

Poor Cersei, as karma is a bitch. I still enjoy her evil character, so I hope they don't kill her off like Joffrey!

I'm partial to pixie cuts, but I agree that she looks better with longer hair (not just the actress but the character). From the first time she appeared, it looked like she was wearing a wig or had some modern coiff. Just doesn't seem to match the era. I think they tried to make it look like she hadn't just stepped out of a salon & it's not the most flattering cut, but the style just doesn't look "right" to me for the character. My guess is that they just wanted to make her seem more distinctive from her sisters.

Here's a look at the alternate choices for the Snakes: http://i2.wp.com/www.whitehotroom.co...size=600%2C900

That did seem odd. I think Defiant was being serious in his explanation, but it still seems a stretch to call that span "years."

Wondering if the events surrounding Myrcella will eventually mirror that of the books.

Jerome Flynn was undoubtedly lobbying hard to receive the antidode via body shots.

Good thing he created a groupie with his very nice singing voice. And she thinks he's a handsome devil, too!

Bronn...you charmer.

So was the idea that the venom from the Dagger only kicked in when Bronn got "excited"? I know she said it created a slow death, but seemed to be an immediate reaction at that point.

Also, do we know what the info is that Littlefinger was bringing to Oleanna? Was it about Lancel / Cersei?

My guess is that the poison is typically slow acting, but getting excited or worked up in some way speeds the poison up.

Lots of interesting developments this week, and it appears from next week's previews that
Spoiler:
we may actually get a big battle as well

That's what I was assuming.

I figured the poison was booby-activated, i.e., a booby trap.
